Poser problem

I'm sure this has come up before but my search didn't help. I'm running both Poser 11 (latest version) and Pro 2012. Both have the same problem and I'm convinced it has something to do with the preferences. Problem is I can't find them for either app. I've refer the SM articles but they aren't where they say they should be. Perhaps if I knew the exact title for this files I could do a search but as of now i am at loss. . . ideas?

In Poser 11, you'll find 'General Preferences...' on the Edit menu.  (It's the last item on the menu.)

EDIT: Just started Pro 2012, and it's in the same location: Edit->General Preferences....

What, exactly, is the problem you're having?
