Blue-winged fairies are highly prized for their beauty as well as for their bone marrow, which is thought to soothe digestive discomfort for many breeds of troll.
Using Julie for the fairy, rendered in DS4.5, post-work in Pixelmator.
Gotta say I'm loving all the renders in this thread. :)
Here are a few of my recent ones. Together, I think they really show off the versatility of Genesis. All the people are Genesis except for one M4 Homo Erectus (in the plaid coat). Three were done for the New User Contests (November and December); the one with the Fiery Genesis backdrop was done for the Michael Initiative thread (he's actually got female clothes, skin, hair, and pose).
Very true - I use both - but if someone is looking for a cheaper (and willing to put up with random bugs that pop up and crash the scene) plugin, then Garibaldi may be a viable option until they can get the cash together. :-)
Just a personal project I got started on early last year and just recently finished up. I was inspired a bit by Richard Corben's artwork when I placed my first figure in the scene and wanted to set something up to capture that feel. It was also my first learning excercise on Volumetric Lighting.
Used Genesis on all figures, Troll Dials, Ethnicity Dials, Slim Man dials, Smay's Zombie textures, Jaguar Hair, V5 PonyTail, Various Deviney brushes in post work.
Here's another Genesis render in Daz 4.5 pro with a bit o post work using brushes. Started on this today when I got off work and before I knew it I had some art. Gotta love Daz3D and Genesis.
Thanks Wancow :) It was more to see if I could crash Daz on the new PC than anything else, but it flew through it in just under 2 hours. A family render contest would be very interesting.

This one was in the Platinum section only, so here it is.
Its my first experiment with volumetric lights in DAZ Studio.
Nice render Hellboy. I sure wouldn't ask him about the origins of that arm! ;)
Another DS render with the teens. Both are wearing Super Suits. Just a bit of nonsense that popped up in my head.
Title - 'Go on, take it!'
more Genesis
Title: What's a Bur-ah-hobbit?
Renderer: Octane
Anyone know where I can find some good hairy Halfling feet?
Dial spin face with Elite Nichole texture
 This is great!
There are some ideas for hobbit foot hair in this thread: http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/7828/
...what about the "Look at My Hair" plugin?
Or you could try the Garibaldi Express beta plugin.. They're now up to beta 12.

LaMH is already a released product. http://www.daz3d.com/look-at-my-hair and not still in beta.

The character is Takeo for Hiro 5, and the pose started out as one of the H5 Capsces Poses. DS4.5Pro render, postwork in GIMP. Larger version in my deviantART gallery here.
Train-horn Alarm
...loverly.
Awww, thanks!

All 7 figures are genesis...
Family Gathering
He's not from around here..
That is an awesome morph. He looks so sad though...
Genesis Troll and Creature heads for Genesis..
Thought so, still looks cool :-)
he's wearing casual surf wear with textures by SuperSuit and SuperSuit Troopers

I call this one...
Unimatrix Zero
That is really good. Well done
This image really impresses me. You know, someone aught to do a render contest for doing Families now that we have all the pieces to work with.

So: did you succeed in crashing DS? I sometimes do it without trying (not often, it's pretty stable in my experience)...
