when I was doing my human dragon hybrids I had a lot of trouble getting the human and dragon skins to match look right having the human part with normal skin was ok but for the more dragony monster look where it was all one skin tone tougher even reptillan was ok then looked at sickleyeild's children of the serpents and tried that skin texture (top pic)

wow, love those renders! Great looking skins on the creatures.
thank you sapat as said top one is sickleyields serpents and bottom one reptillian6 but would love more skin textures though would work on humanoid and dragon/other creatures well blending together as well teeth and claws oh yeah thin skin membrane textures such as on wings would be nice too and feathers guess on texture front there's a lot really need wouldn't mind zbrush and substance painter https://www.allegorithmic.com/products/substance-painter that looks really cool but out of mosts afforability would love a creature creator that gives you options to create humanoid or other forms start with a base then choose options for different sections then select add ons like spikes claws tentacles like leggo oh and eyes different kinds and positions of eyes like chameleon or buggy besides standard middle human look would love to recreate some of the creatures I've sculpted and drawn in the past as well as some of my other ideas
They look fantastic. They turned out really well.
Hopefully ppl will take notice of the thread and perhaps think about what is being said here and start working on creature morphs. I can only hope it happens for Gen3.
I'm not sure I like Gen 4's shoulders. I think I'll wait for Gen 5.
(Just getting my griping mode warmed up for the future event)
thanks I love monsters and kitbashing before this I drew and sculpted monsters and fantasy ladies and wanted to via photo manipulation create fantasy pics, daz makes it so much easier and cheaper but there's just so much more I want to do and really create my own stuff creature and clothing yeah there'd be revealing stuff but different along lines of warhammer/warhammer 40,000, boris vallajo/julie bell, royo, fastner and larson, and artists like them as well as games like doa, tekken, mortal kombat, final fantasy armors and clothing. And my monsters well they're different too and would benefit from some cool textures just though we need new internal organs that can be morphed oh and again eyes both textures like lizards and different shaped eyes, oh and I want praying mantis arms
well you can't have a fantasy pic without monsters well you can but monsters are important and aliens can't forget them with their big weird shaped heads and pincer hands
G3F only came out in June 2015 and G3M came out in November 2015. I wouldn't be moving on to a new generation when it hasn't been a full year since both G3 figures had been released.
Not buying Genesis 4 figures unless they're 70% off or more, and even then, they'd have to be something that Genesis 2 or 3 doesn't have anything remotely resembling. And with mixing morphs, right now I can create almost any face I want, and swap out the materials from one character to another. So in other words, slim chances of buying.
I got the Fantasy Features bundle, it has some neat effects for ears, brows, hands, etc.
Deleted- found what I was looking for. Fantasy Features is in Parameters, nothing in the Content Library>Genesis 3 Females>Shapes section. Don't know if it's supposed to be that way or not.
The lack of creature creator packages really do seem to be the last major omission from the usual battery of resources that acompany a generation of figures. And given the changes in the polygon count and the polyflow, G3 would really seem to need its own set.
But then -- and this is all supposition -- I'm not altogether convinced that we are going to see G4 until Studio 5.0 is launched. That *could* be next year, certainly. But not necessarily in *June* next year. Which appears to be the widest assumption for V8's appearance.
Franky, G3 has gained so much traction with outside vendors, quickly enough, that I could even see an argument for not being in a hurry to rock the boat with yet a new paradigm.
But regardless, DAZ is unlikely to be offering any hints as to their plans regarding G4's estimated time of arrival.
I will admit when G4 comes out I will get them maybe they'll contain the hd morphs included instead of having to buy them seperately like g2 and 3. I's now almost half way through October almost Hallween perfect time to release Creature Creator 3 morphs don't you all think and considering no one connected to Daz has commented one way or another whether or not they're still coming has to mean we are still getting them as they would surely have said something if we weren't wouldn't it be cool if the new one was something big with a ton of stuff in it and was released as seperates and bundles, basic starter bundle with no hd morphs and some basic morphs and extras and a pro bundle with tons of morphs including hd + addons (extra horns, claws, spikes extra) props, clothing, textures/recolours and other extra bits and pieces which you could buy seperately as well I'd buy the pro bundle without question
I probably will buy Genesis 4 male. I still think the previous two generations females look okay to me so no need to upgrade unless there is significant improvement.
Can someone edit the title of this thread and add a 'still'?
Sooo, after a long wait, it seems we finally have the Creature Creator for Genesis 3. Keyword being "seems".
At the same price as the Creature Creator HD for G2F, the shiny new Undead CC HD for G3F includes such features as:
- Splitting the morphs so that you only get the undead ones! No Aliens, Mutants nor Mutant Aliens for you!
- A brand new no texture system, so that you can use your own already owned (or better yet: still to buy) materials!
- 34 morphs instead of the 59 included in the G2F pack! And that is without even counting the G2F Creature Creator standard edition included in the HD one! These prices are CRAAAaaaazy!
- Did we mention the sheer lack of variety in a pack that's supposed to let us be creative with our own creations? No? We didn't? Think again: we just did!
In all seriousness, and I know this is far more caustic than I usually would be comfortable with, the pack has its few good points (the skin morphs look amazing) but this is ridiculously overpriced when compared to previous iterations of the product, and I hope (really, really, hope) it is not any indication about how the whole Creature Creator line will be handled in the future. This has gone from a Day 1 purchase to a "maybe I can manage with some dial-spinning and a few Rawart's characters".
this resume all. Rawart (may) save this morph.
But when saw the item this morning, the only word that came to my mind was "usurpation". This is not a creature creator that we were having for 3 generations of characters. Only one kind of look (undead, hense the poduct title) , no skin, 34 morphs. period. that's it. The name should be "Undead creator morph" and absolutely not creature creator because NO skin and because NO creature. Still NO CREATURE CREATOR.
The split into different categories is a little jarring... Still, at that introductory price, it's definitely affordable. Guessing there'll be alien and other selections very soon.
Not sure if this one will allow us to recreate the excellent skeletal vampire morph the G2 version had, but I'm hoping it shall. I loved that one.
On the other hand, this makes me wonder if they might finally be deciding to sell a pack of nothing but different skin types, once all of them have ultimately been released.
I admit I am disappointed that the release includes no skins and it is yet again more female centered content. I like my Monsters to be somewhat neuter. I guess I will see if I gen x them over. At any rate this i disappointing. I really want the alien morphs.
On the positive side, they look great. The morph detail is really nice. Also, since the morphs are HD there wont be the need to purchase a seperate pack to get the HD goodness. However...
How many of these packs will I have purchase to get the full range of creativity that was offered with G2 creature creator? Seems really expensive considering that the G2 version contained morphs for zombies, hags, trolls, cat people, etc. How long is it going to be before the next pack shows up? Furthermore, what am I supposed to skin these morphs with? Will there be a skin pack that is made specifically for these morphs or are we just going to have to wait until some vendor decides to make one?
Wishlist for now, but the decision to split up the morph packs has really left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Seems like an obvious cash grab scheme to me. No skin packs? Maybe when the full bundle is offered in fast grab. Until then, ill just use my fantastically imaginative and more than generous G2 version. Not cool daz.
Agreed!! If so, then I am done buying anything else for genesis 3. I learned my lesson with the past generations, LOL
<SNIP>
Agreed with all points raised. This is a case of "less for more." While I don't recall skins being included with either the M4/V4 CC or the Genesis 1 CC, they were most certainly part of the G2 CC. The absence of all morphs other than a sampling of vampire-based ones is very disconcerting, even if future CC packs for G3 are introduced.
I was super disappointed too. I got it because I really liked the morphs, but buying creature creature packs piecemeal like this is something I do NOT want to do. I already spend enough at this place.

So it's another strike on DAZ? So what we have is DAZ Connect which pulled many users away, genesis 3 and generation 7 pulling more users away because of the new style of the figure, and now having to pay for multiple content that was normally just in one package. Sounds like DAZ needs new management or something. They kinda are going against what the users want.
just my thoughts about what I've been seeing on the forums lately
i would still buy the creature creator packs because it's what i love
Yeah, I have to say... G2F Creature Creator + HD morphs is $70, covering a wide range and including skins.
G3F is $40 covering maybe 1/3 as much?
It's great if your primary interest is undead and you have skins you already like, but...
I don't wanna say Daz is being greedy, because it's rather commonplace everywhere these days to charge the last nickel that can be squeezed out of everything, but for a hobby, it's a dangerous road to go down since it depends on discretionary income. People can always get another hobby or shop someplace else. We came to this crossroads years ago and what happened then wasn't ideal either - prices dropped SO low it almost wasn't worth a vendor's time to make stuff. However, people want to feel like they got value for their money, which in this situation, doesn't seem to be the case ;). Hopefully Daz is listening.
FWIW, this isn't the first time during the two sales that a new product has come out and I thought to myself "that's all that's in it???!". I could mention some, but I won't because that wouldn't be right, but there have been more than a few things where I had that very thought on seeing the product. Considering what I give away for free (and it's not huge packs at a time, believe me), it's not that difficult to make a full, rich product that people will love and that will still be worth the time to make. I don't mind paying for things that I want, but I don't want to feel like I'm being bled...lol. At least that's my two cents ;).

Well, I guess I should be careful what i ask for. Disappointed that this is only a cobbled version of the creature morphs. Nothing like previous versions, even to the point that previous versions had leg morphs and I think tails in some. So now we get some zbrush worked mesh to create 'HD' appearance, and some teeth and a few morphs. Yeah.....if this is a deal to piecemeal more packs down the line like 'ok in 3 months we'll release the Alien creature pack", and so on, so we're only getting bits and pieces with each purchase every few months. And this one is only G3F. Figures. Sexy vamp. So predictable. Like there isn't ever any male monsters????
