How Do you apply textures for skin/hair ? DUF presets

HarkHark Posts: 48

In some of the skin renders or preset models, or hairs, (I want to buy)
there are textures, or DUF presets for iray.

Are they just default there, as soon as I click on the hair/model?
Do I apply them as a second step, by finding them, What panel?

  • Textures Include:
    • 3 Texture and Specular Maps (2500 x 2500)
    • 34 Texture, Transparency, Specular, Bump and Displacement Maps (2500 x 2500)
    • 1 Bump Map (3000 x 3015)
    • Texture Templates available through the Product Library  >>>>>> I guess  I gotta find the texture in the archives, and click on
  • Daz Studio Iray Material Presets (.DUF)  <<<<<<<< I guess these are a description of that they exist? for me to add and use?
  • Daz Studio 3Delight Material Presets (.DUF)

The presets apply the textures and shaders and settings to the hair when double-clicked in a content pane. For a Materials Preset you need to select only the model, the preset has a list of the models surfaces and which settings to apply to which surface.

And, I dont need to find a material preset, somewhere?

  • Yes, the materials presets will geenrally be in a sub-folder of the models (in Content Library pane DAZ Studio Formats list or in the product view of Smart Content) or will be shown in the File view of Smart Content when the item they apply to is selected.
