Well, that's ... an unusually obvious "inspired by", so to speak. Though I don't get all the post-apocalyptic stuff. Looks like he combines well, and much less identifiably, with other shapes.

Apocalyptic stuff and if it wasn't apocalyptic stuff, it would most likely be cyberpunk stuff
...and just another celebraty clone as a G9 character..

Model looks good. The Angus 9 product page, however, doesn't have any additional promotional images.

I love the superman-esque hair. However, is it just me or does this bit of hair attached to nothing?

    Or is it curling upwards?

I love the classic gent hair. The little we can see of Angus looks rather good (and a lot like a certain Danish actor), hopefully the missing promo pics will be added later today.

The Wasteland Survivor outfits look well done. I don't have much use for post-apocalyptic stuff but the "base" and "road" ones could be used as regular modern clothes.

It looks like somebody, who made hair promos, has not noticed,
that hair is partially inside forehead.
    The morphs listed on:
    https://www.daz3d.com/the-classic-gent-hair-and-beard-for-genesis-9
include "The Classic Gent Hair Hairline Adjust"
Just wonder if it can fix such issue.

Here are some quickly rendered jpgs, since the poor guy doesn't have any promo pics. Using his HD, apart from the one with Maud.

  • Here's another quick render, just using what comes with the bundles besides the dog obviously.  I don't have a lot of use for the Nomad and Deserter ones but the survivor one is pretty decent.  I wanted to see what it looked like on a woman as well so I put one in here.  It doesn't have any female morphs so you'd either need to add some or just do what I did quickly here and use geometry sculpter.  The texture add on is definitely recommended if you want some more well-worn looks (or use LIEs).

There's a bug in the undersuit outfit where loading v2 loads the outfit in the picture for v1 and vice versa.

  • I think that's fast (because we knew that he is inspired by Archer from MW4, which was released a few days ago)

  • The kind of bad news is he looks exactly like Mads Mikkelson. I grabbed the set before some one gets the hint.

I haven't been this happy to receive the DO character bundle in a long time.

  • Nothing I want even though I do like the cyberpunk RPG which does have a la Mad Max nomads. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the Cyberpunk Red/2020/2077 games are where Daz got the term "nomad."

FTR, I don't mean, "These are horrible bundles," or "I can't stand Mads Mikkelson," only that I don't see myself ever using any of the models. I like Mr. Mikkelson but I don't need a clone of him. Fond as I am of R Talsorian Games/CD Project Red's cyberpunk collaborations - & I've played a Nomad or 2 - I have no urge in doing Mad Max style vehicle battles. The base outfit is useful for modern but I just picked up a nice cowboy set for free.

I have no clue who Mads Mikkelson is and had to look him up. My first reaction to Angus 9 was he was a take on a younger Elon Musk and was repulsed.

  • As a huge fan of his from Hannibal and Clash of the Titans (the new one), I knew it was him from second one.

Taking everyone's opinion that Angus 9 is more Mads Mikkleson, I did read futher on him. Not seen any of his movies or shows but I am rethinking my decision. midgard229's wonderful renders that were attached above showed a great way to use him.

Edit to correct my sentence structure and to say I did buy him and the main bundle and add-on gear and slender shape.

I am a little confused by the differences in the height listed for Angus 9 and the Slender shape. The metric seems opposite of the imperial measurement?

its good to see there will be good laundry in the post-apocalyptic world. check those creases on the pants.  Extra starch please.

Some of the outfits look like reasonable modern day clothing (like Wasteland Survivor Undersuit for Genesis 9 Road Add-On)

I felt the same way. It was only when I took a closer look that I discovered Mikkelsen. Maybe it was the pose, and the expression.

I have had Angus 9 and the Slender one up to check the heights and also the hair. The hair is Strand-base with Omni colors. But only three morphs. And the default load does not put the curl into the forehead.

I didn't add the expressions to the cart. I think I would prefer the challenge of putting an expression on his face myself. And finally an eye color that is close to mine! Dark Hazel. I guess some of that DNA I have from the Outer Hebrides (Vikings) came through.

Did one more for giggles.  Her skin needs some work and there's some clipping but I'm out of time.

Well not exactly: he's inspired by the actor who plays Archer in MW4.

well considering a few of us mistook him for someone else disliked (by some of us at least)

I think the similar to but not immediately identifiable clause would apply, are many people who resemble other people and some even make a living out of it
