I have carrara files from an old school project i'd like to recover

so when i took a class back in 2018-19 that taught me the basics of 3d modeling, Carrara Pro was the program of choice. Since then, all of my modeling endeavors have been in Blender since it's free, but some of these old files I never did export to more standardized formats so i still only have them as .car files. Are there any free options for getting into these files to save them in other formats like .dae/fbx/obj, or alternatively is anyone with ready access to carrara willing to let me send them over to export? i know they are definitely too new to open in carrara 5 and i can't find any sort of free trial for 8 or 8.5 to use. The price of the full version is not within my budget, especially just for the purposes of recovering a couple old projects.

Do they use content from Daz or elsewhere? If so then there would be copyright issues (embedded mesh, rather than references) and file issues (linked texture files from products that can't be shared). If they are your own modelling work then that would not be an issue.
Hexagon free will import some .car files if just geometry
no ignore that, it exports in .car format not import
if you upload a zip, I or another Carrara user can take a look and see what can be exported in another format
I believe all the textures were original to this project. If that's a potential issue, I have basically all the textures in the original folders already so i could manually reapply them if i had to. the meshes were definitely from scratch, as the assignments didn't want us using pre-existing models. Here's a render from the time
here are zips containing the two different projects. a lot of these files are probably redundant (individual parts were modeled separately at the start)
hi,
I had a geez at the files...
no textures are included
lots & lots of duplicate files
it is possible to group and export but you will end up with a list a mile long in the texture room that need to be fixed for textures.
If you did these in Pro then you should have it available in your account here at Daz..
Download it and then go from there.
Honestly it would be quicker to model a new one in blender if you don't want to use Carrara
edit to add - you can download a demo at CNet... just Bing or google 'download demo of Carrara 8' to get the link
bigger scenes as obj files and how they load in DAZ Studio with Carrara obj import preset rendered with iray
will do the rest
the separate parts as obj files
images show in DAZ Studio
will look at other zip soon and add exports here
as Stezza pointed out
lots of parts
it was a school thing, i never had it on my personal account (in fact, i literally just made that)
the idea is i want to preserve my earliest work. i didn't remember if the textures would be embedded in these files or not
since the site is suddenly giving me issues attaching them, here is the first one on google drive, including all the textures and miscellaneous files that were in the same folder (i wasn't sure exactly what the project file referenced so i included stuff like illustrator files too) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Y0LolY2yTn1e-7d7hBM8dBCOrN0bdn_0/view?usp=sharing
the other one is still uploading to drive because it's a lot bigger and some of its textures are video (mov) files. but i'm also less concerned with that one since i do have some exports of the character in it, just not the environment around him iirc.
it's quite a lot
will look at it when I can, I see many things are duplicates
the images don't match any textures asked for
obj exports with the few textures that loaded

Thank you! This should be good. And apologies for the weird timing of my replies, they all had to wait to be approved so they kept coming after the thread had progressed further than when i sent them.
I was able to fix up the broken stuff and restore it to a satisfactory level.
