Diffeomorphic Easy Import Default Settings?

JDJD Posts: 48

When using "Easy Import DAZ" is there a way to keep the operator presets default or persistent? I'm steamlining my workflow and it would be great if the current preset I saved was the default so it would be one less thing to click or remember.

Thanks.

You can delete then redo any preset including the default. However, easy import remebers the last settings used, so it reopens with that.

Sorry, I should have mention my current workflow for importing characters

    1. Create character in DAZ
    2. Open Blender
    3. Easy Import into Blender
    4. Select Preset
    5. Load Figure
    6. Convert Rig
    7. Save as Blend file.
    8. Close Blender
    9. Repeat Steps 1-8

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe what you are saying is that easy import remembers if Blender didn't close. Yes, I do recognize that easy import does remember it in that situation.

What I would like to do is have the "Easy Import" presets be remembered even when Blender is closed. There doesn't seem to be any settings in global to turn this on. It would be nice to have this option so it's one less thing to click/remember for my process.

But it's not really a big deal since I'll learn overtime through muscle memory.

Personally I believe step 4 is hard to forget, if that's what you mean. Plus if this is your problem then you can also forget to change it when necessary, as different figures have different presets. So better work up on that muscle memory.
