How can I adapt this catchlight technique, from armoured avian, to 8.1?

This will make sense if you see the video. The idea is to remove other reflections from other parts of the eye except the eye moisture and parent a area light to the neck bone then shape the area light to your desired shape and you get a perfect, modfular catchlight that you can use gobos on as well. Its easy on g9 cause that what he uses in the video but when I try to adapt and do it for g8.1 I can never get the reflection to overlap the iris when targeting just the eye moisture.

There's the "cornea bulge" morph so it catches the light better. Or you can sculpt the cornea in blender.

p.s. However, you could also parent some lights to the camera, as you're interested in eyes reflection only when the character looks at the camera.
