Closure of the GCJellyfish Store

Hello folks,

Since people here have stated that they like to be informed of upcoming store closures, I thought I should give a heads-up that I have asked the Daz staff to close my store at  https://www.daz3d.com/gcjellyfish on September 1st, 2026.

I'd like to thank every single one of you that have spent your hard earned money on my products over the past 5 years. I do not take it for granted, and I have worked hard to be sure that my products were worth the asking price. I hope they have provided good value for money and will ocntinue to serve you well in the future.

I also wish all the very best to my fellow PAs, along with the Daz store staff. Thank you for the opportunity, and for helping me learn so much along the way. smiley

That is sad to hear. Your products are so very well made and unique. Will we find four products in a different store in the future?

Which means, it’s the last chance to grab the essential Dirty Dishes items!

Thanks for creating, and making available, such excellent resources!

So sad to hear that (your products are stunning, and the dirty dishes sets are great), but thank you for the heads up!
Hopefully we will see and your creations in some other corner of the internet!

I am so sorry to read this...your products are some of the best I have used. Thank you for the notice and I'll be sure to grab your koura next payday. Best wishes from kiwi country and thanks for the pavlova :)

thanks for the heads up, it's really appreciated yes

I own 3 of your items and have another 3 in my wishlist

I actually almost bought 2 of them yesterday but ended up buying something else instead

    could kick myself for that

but at least you have given enough notice before payday heart

Please tell me Rising Sun will be available elsewhere? It's an asset I would dearly love to own but I can't justify nearly $70 for one item.

I'm so sorry to hear this - I always looked forward to your next product. I use your car such a lot, and the dirty dishes sets are wonderful.

Are you moving store or moving on to something else?

Either way, thanks for the heads-up. I added the only item of your that I haven't bought yet to my wishlist and hope I may be able to grab it before it disappears.

Best of luck in whatever is your next enterprise.

  • Thank you for the kind comments. It would obviously be unprofessional for me to discuss other stores on Daz's forum. But I'm still a creative person and I haven't lost my commitment to storytelling. smiley

is in my wishlist too but like many other things, I have accepted I will never buy it, not because of price but because it's likely too much for my hardware for animation, have had a few chances to get it cheaper and passed for just that reason.

It looks awesome as do the other massive things by other PAs I never get for the same reason, especially by The Alchemist, everything of his I own which is less complex cannot be rendered on my GPU let alone the big sets I will never likely get but they still sit in my wishlist.

I love the dirty dishes though, instances help enormously to populate a restaurant, I break them down to individual items so can have varied plates

Just put the crayfish in my cart... it's the only one of your products that I don't already have.

Love your Dirty Dishes and the Zirael Flyte Hatchback Family Car is absolutely the best vehicle in the store. No detail was missed on that one, even has a license plate creator that I use with other vehicles, an engine, removable dipstick, all the details are amazing. I really love that car. Anything that needs to be done with a car storywise can be done with that automobile. If anyone hasn't bought that yet I highly recommend they buy it before it dissappears. And good luck in your future endeavours, hope to see you at another marketplace perhaps.

I really love that your products always take into account how they look at different stages—this is a huge help for creating stories. Whether jewelry or food, they’re all irreplaceable high-quality products. Looking forward to seeing “Dirty Dishes” themed around the cuisines of various countries. I think I can find where you are just by searching your name, right?

I've seen people make this mistake before.

The Rising Sun set is not "one item", it's probably the single most extensively rigged set on the store (the only other things I think come close are PW Productions, but I think the quality here is higher). There's a butt-tonne of of appliances, furniture items, drinks bottles, etc that can all be posed - and even though I have had little need for the set in its default guise, I have often used its props to rescue other environments where their creators couldn't be bothered to add functionality.

Rising Sun's boxes have posable flaps, the cash register opens and has a separate card reader, the beer taps can be individually operated.

When I had a Fugazi kitchen set completely let me down when its ovens wouldn't open, the scene was saved by the oven out of the back kitchen of Rising Sun, because despite the fact it's barely in the promos, yes, it opens, yes, the shelves move, and yes, the clock on the oven can be set for a stupid joke where the different ovens have their times slightly different.

The asking price is above what you might normally expect of an ostensibly similar set on the store, yes. But the word "ostensibly" there is the key one, because it's really on a very different level and what's here does represent an extensive amount of extremely reusable work.

The rich sets and props alone make it excellent value for money, and the oven time is even adjustable! Wow, I have to buy it now; you can't find a lower price elsewhere.

I am only human (and not wealthy) so will wait for any sort of discount, even if just 30% like new, but definitely buying the Fantasy food and drinks, full price the last day if needed

I may yet cave and pay full price payday Friday but can't promise that

well, it seems I am too late crying

    Whew!

Your products are among the very best... I've gotten so much fun out of your Dirty Dishes sets, and the effort you put into making the license plates customizable on the car asset you put out has made many other vehicles usable as well! The devil's in the details when it comes to storytelling, and you always nail those details.

I look forward to seeing where this next twist on your storytelling journey's path takes you. :)

When products are on sale in Daz, there are always many opportunities to be less than 90% off, and with coupons, it can be even lower.

There are tokens available now at at least 50% off. Wasn't it supposed to close on September 1st? Wow, I used to only notice the Dirty Dishes and didn't pay attention to other great products. It wasn't until I bought so many things that I learned to discern the true value of a product.

I literally had the Fantasy ones in my cart a couple days ago when I decided to buy something different sad

I do own the other 2 sets

not much I can do about it now, I must own more than 3 things because I have that car too, obviously cannot check now as when the store was up it showed 3 items unbought, maybe some were already gone

Seems they didn't understand You or made another of their usual "Ooopsies".

Hope to see Your products at another shop, and many more new of them, too.

Shocked to find the store at zero. I was still able to pull my five products up in my Product Library by your name. The dishes, hatchback and the sparkles jewerly (Christmas gift) are some of my favorites.

I hope you continue to find joy in your life and grow your art.

How sad that you're leaving and that the store was apparently closed prematurely! I do love your products, would have liked to add to my collection at the last minute as well. Thank you for your great work, and best of luck!

Yes, this is another instance of when I thought I still had time to choose which of these assets I would buy,  only to find the store has closed a lot earler than announced. Ah well...

So glad I got the Rising Sun Environment when it was available.

  • I apologize that the store closed earlier than I intended. I had to give 10 working days notice per the PA agreement. Obviously, they decided not to wait.

Are you still going to be a member of Daz and on the forums, cause if possible, maybe someone wanting the products can contact you to buy them. I don't get paid till the 27th and was hoping the store would still be there when I got my cheque.

  • AsuCafeAsuCafe Posts: 485

Since DAZ doesn't want to make this money, then I have no choice but to...

  • I will still be a customer of the Daz store, of course. Unless they decide they don't want me here, I'll be around even if not very active :)
