The last communication from Richard Haseltine was "We've flagged it up." yesterday evening (US time). No update since then.
maybe something is going to change here...my QG page is not blank...it still saysa 73 items but 0 of 73.
73 was the count last week. And I see entries and they look the same with a cursory glance.
Yes, they're still the same ones from last week.
yeah...mine are back again. BUT, those listed under being outlet on the main sales page are now $1.99 ... something seems to be stirring the pot. There are new free items up as well. Hopefully they keep stirring and change up the Quick Grabs.
Maybe Daz now only changes the QG items every fortnight and publishes the new 'Outlet' items in between. Ok, it's their store where they can do whatever they want. Nevertheless, it would have been good to inform the customers.
The only reasonable explanation I can think of is that QG will undergo a major change next month, perhaps even disappearing or something. And with only a few days left until next month, there's no need to change QG products now.
If something like this happened in my country, the operating company would announce that the update was delayed because a part-time worker spilled instant noodles. Regardless of the truth, they would have to say something to the consumers.
That's my thinking too. If they changed it and QG disappeared mid-week afterward, people would be complaining that they didn't get to do any shopping. I suppose 3 more days and we will know, but if there's a change, it's going to be hard to beat QG/OS offering.
DAZ seems to operate on the 'No News' policy for customers. With almost everything. Communication would be helpful in many, many areas. But DAZ operates a policy of silence.
This also is a big strand of the 'Fear of Missing Out' principle of marketing to increase sales.
Regards,
Richard
Quick Grab was the only reason I joined DAZ+ on Sunday. I had been doing Premier monthly, every other month or so, but the main emphasis was the 50% off Outlet and QG pricing.
To me, both QG and OS are huge factors in the perceived membership value. Daz+ new releases have become less appealing (I used to buy them more frequently, but with the price increases, I'm much more picky), and the monthly codes are hit or miss, but OS and QG were a constant good offer. Even if there wasn't anything on a particular week, I definitely bought enough throughout the month from both to get my membership's value. To me, it was much better than random 4 lighting deals and grab bags before that, and I often bought additional things from it too.
But with Daz not communicating anything and the mods not getting back to us on QG, I'm waiting to see what's going to change and how. My membership is ending in a few months, and any changes will likely factor in my decision whether to renew.
I agree with what others have said. I hope the delay in QG is simply due to a reduced number of employees due to summer vacation. QG is where I've made my purchases most frequently since they've been in place. After the loss of contests and the gallery, the loss of QG would also reduce the value of my subscription and my motivation to renew. I hope they'll let us know something.
Same. I'm still on a pre-Premier D+ membership until a bit into January, and it seems like more often than not I don't use my PA coupon these days, and I'll be going through the DOs I'm actually interested in with the other coupon over the next few months. The weekly/monthly freebies are uninspiring, with rare exception. QG/OS was the one thing that had be thinking of maybe renewing when a membership deal came through.
We'll see, though. Daz will do what Daz will do, and I'm certainly not delusional enough to think they'll miss me if I don't renew.
There is no particular reason to attribute the delay to anything other than the Xmas in July promo. We could still get a refresh on Sunday night. Things could continue as they have. Or things could change. Who knows? Like others here, I drop money on D+ as a buy-in for favorable OS/QG purchases. Without OS/QG, I have far less incentive to buy into D+, or to buy anything at all. If enough folks do that, it might matter to Daz. BTW: Those Outlet New Items from PAMAWO yesterday are in the OS today. So, that's interesting.
...the matter is the "Christmas in July sale" was only for one week with no extension and we are just back to the standard "Daz sale fare" so I don't understand why OG didn't refresh.
With the apparent demise of the two D+ member sales, it feels as i the value of a subscription would be diminished if QG went away We already appear to have lost the two PC /D+ member sales. Agreed with Joanna on the D+ releases. I haven't purchased many as of late as they just weren't inserting or fit with the illustration work I do, I've even passed on a couple of the freebies..
