What are your thoughts about that?

I wonder where the "mobile" part of it is? Of course it's probably hidden right there on the lower part, but how would I for example render it as being in transport?

The undercarriage is concealed by that latticework at the bottom, which would have been attached after it was parked in its final resting place and the supports were added (tires would be removed). I'm not sure where the hitch is though. I remember my grandparents' place had a trailer hitch in front (part of the chassis so basically impossible to remove), which they'd planted some flowers under to make it a little less obvious.

Yeah, I understand that the latticework is there to hide something. I just would like to know, is there something that needs to be hidden in that product. For me, something should have allow me to make scenes with it, that I make in my mind and that reflect the reality. Having something that allows only limited shots, due to being not a realistic replica (without copyright/patent infrinctions of course) would make me only ready to pay a lkewise limited price. If anything at all.

When looking for the DAZ version of an airplane, I would expect information, if it comes with or without the landing gear. 'Cause I might be tempted to make scenes with it flying or - gasp - parked on the airport. Same for this "non mobile mobilehome". Except for the flying part, of course.

You are asking the PA to do a bunch of work for less than 1% of the audience of the asset. "mobile" in the case of these places is long lost marketing hype that no longer matters. "Mobile" is descriptive like "industrial". No expects to be able to do manufacturing in an "industrial loft" even though that what "industrial" implies out of context. You have to remove most of this asset's exterior to turn it back into a vehicle.

This would be like purchasing a crashed in the jungle 50 years ago airplane environment and expecting to be able to use the airplane shell as a flying vehicle.

I live in a doublewide. The tounges are removed now and stored if the home is ever moved again. I know that some trailer parks used to require that the tounge be cut off, so the trailer didn't fanish in the night. The question about the second floor, this looks like the owner has decided he needs more room so he added a zsecond floor. "Mopdular" homes, which look like mobile homes to me, can have a complete second floor. Also, some mobile homes have a room that slides out to give extra space and curb apeal like in the mpdel.

I'm just asking what the product offers, as not all that's important FOR ME is obvious from the promo pictures. When I can't see in a promo picture everything that what might be important FOR ME when wanting to use a product, I generally don't buy it. I even explained, why FOR ME it might be important to have that inmobile mobilehome to have wheels. It didn't teleport to that place, I guess, so when trying to do a story, I might end up with the need to show how it got to it's final resting place.

And no, I'm not asking the PA to make "extra work" - just when he wants my money, I want a product that delivers what I want, else there is no deal.

And given the normal price of a product at DAZ, I think that that's a reasonable attiitude.  Still, let's not forget that this is a product that debuted with a price of $2.99.  That's less than the price of a large fountain drink at McDonalds and one of the cheapest things in the store, and while it will no doubt eventually be sold for a higher price, my understanding is that a large percentage of the products sold here make most of their money in the early weeks of their release.  With that all in mind, I find it to be an adequately built, if far fromn perfect, product for the price tag and while it could certainly be better, asking for more at that price is not unlike walking into Walmart and asking where the Versace products are.

I have no problem at all with the price for the product. When it got released, I decided that a) it doesn't look like something I would ever need 2) if I would need something like it some day in the future, I would probably would have had to invest time to adapt it to my needs and finally III) I already have something that does the same job which I could adapt as easily and wouldn't have to spend more money on it. So it wasn't - for me - not even worth the $ 2.99

I am also not "asking for more". I'm just explaining why I wouldn't buy the product. I probably wouldn't even download it when it would come for free.

    I also only posted

and was then kinda forced to explain why I had the audicity to think about making a render of a "mobile home getting transported".

And with that, I leave this "discussion"
