Fingernail Tweaks?

How can I improve fingernails? I have sort of settled on Global Skin as I like the detail better. Makes the imported fingernails look terrible, though (yes, Global skin does not do fingernails, I know this).
Tried some suggestions from the Internet, but they didn't do much. I get either white or gray nails. There has to be something I do to improve this, they really stand out.

Can't you use the daz fingernails on top of GS ? I mean iirc GS uses the daz uv map so this should be doable. For example import the diffeomorphic materials, then apply GS to the skin but the nails.
Yes, I can. But they need help. At least this one character does, because they aren't great even if I don't switch to GS. Maybe I'm being picky. But they need to be less white and more translucent. I'll post an exemple when its done rendering.
This is pretty much straight out of Studio. I did fix the hair and the shirt, but no material tweaks to the figure. You can see the nails are... sort of blah. Grayish-white.
GS without tweaks, I just did this quick. The nails look worse. Even less translucent and more gray. I am a fiddler. I need it to look the way I want :)
If anyone else is interested, by adjusting the colors in the Multiply nodes that connect the translucency and base color I was able to get closer to what I wanted.
The purpose of diffeomorphic is to convert materials from iray, if the nails look bad in daz studio they will look the same in blender. However, it is always possible to tweak the materials of course, both in daz studio before exporting or in blender after importing. In this case, if you want more translucency, you can increase the translucency weight in daz studio, or decrease the "daz diffuse" fac in blender, right after the "daz traslucent" node. If the fac is driven by a "daz color effect", then decrease its fac instead.
If you want to tweak materials in blender then the principled option is easier, as you only have to deal with principled nodes, mostly.
