Newbie Render Question
What are best render settings to minimize dots and speckles? I ran a render for 50 minutes once and it still had a lot of dots. Scene had relatively good lighting as well. I'm guessing best way or perhaps only way to render is Iray.
I have a Windows 10 i9-9900k, rtx 3090 ti. If anyone has screenshots to share I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Are you sure you used your GPU?
What is the reason your render stopped, i.e. it had converged, samples or time had been reached?
You can see both in the log, Help > Troubleshooting > View Log.
It is impossible to give general pointers to why, you are having noise. Could be insufficient lights, it could be materials causing a lot of reflections that isn't converging.
What type of lights are you using?
Try to post your image.
I will post my screenshots later. Thanks
I get that sometimes. I've found it helps if you switch Post Denoiser on and enable it. I wouldn't reecommend having the start iteration at the default setting though or your render will take many hours. I use the default max samples setting and I change the post denoiser start to 3000 so only the last 2000 samples are denoised (less noisy scenes don't tend to run that many samples anyway). 4k renders on my main rig take roughly 1-2 hours to complete depending on complexity and lighting. A fair bit longer than the bulk of my renders but to be expected for noisy scenes.
From one newbie to another, I hope this helps you.
