Help with hairs by Linday please

I just bought Linday's "Classic Blowout hair" and "Classic Wet hair" because they look amazing in the promos, but when I apply them to G8F they look like this:

Can anyone who has used these hairs give me any insight on what's happening??? Is this a Dforce related thing? Do I have to use Dforce to get them to look normal, because I really don't want to have to use Dforce

Sorry if this isn't the right place to ask for help with this, but it is driving me nuts.

Yes, those hairs have to be dforced. They use the cloth dforce system.

I may be mistaken and misread, but I believe I read somewhere, that you can use dforce to create morphs/dials that you can use to make them look "normal" without having to simulate them every time.

Yes, you can make morphs, but one morph will likely only fit one pose, if you wont risc clipping.

I find that they simulate fairly fast.

    If you rarely use dforce...

dforce this without clothes (deactivate them in the Scene-tab) and with the "Start Bones... " in the Simulation Setting put to "off", unless the hair clearly penetrates the figure.
    That should work quite fast.

If you do dforce clothing, deactivate the hair first.

As others have pointed out, yes, you need to dForce them to make them settle naturally since those are basically just starting poses for the hair.

  • Important: you need a floor! Load a floor or primitive plane, select the G8, load the hair, load a pose for G8, load a style and globation simulation, go simulation tab, made current frame, start and wait.

Why is a floor needed? I never use a floor for simulations unless the draped item is touching it. I have never once needed a floor for any Linday hairs. Is this a newer Daz version requirement?

Please give your character some clothes, the forums do not have the ability to filter out nudity. See Acceptable Ways of Handling Nudity

  • Sorry about the nudity, forgot about that rule. Just wanted to make sure nothing was affecting the hair, so I only loaded the hair and no clothes.

As for the hair, I primarly do my work in Blender, and use Daz to set every thing up first, then port it over. As far as I know, dForce has no effect in blender, so I have no clue how to get the hair to look normal in there, aside from creating morphs after dForce is applied as mentioned above.

Has anyone that uses Blender had any success using these Linday hairs there? And how?
