Rendering issue

So I am on my old computer which worked fine as of last August. It has an nvidia rtx 2070 card. I have DS 4.24 on this machine now, but I had not used that version on this computer before. Everything loads, but nvidia view in the viewport shows nothing, and if I render the screen is black. I went to render settings and turned on cpu with nvidia, and if I do that I get renders, but it is cpu only running (according to task manager), if I need to do that I can. However, it's odd that nvidia view works with the cpu. Is it possible that 4.24 needs a newer driver than I have? I don't remember the last time I updated drivers--or even how to update the driver for the video card. Any suggestions appreciated.

Sounds like it could be a driver issue.

There should be an app in your start menu called "Nvidia App" that'll show your current driver version and allow you to download the latest one.
