Query.

If I deselect the boxes as shown in the attached image, I shouldn't receive the upcoming update that disables 3Delight, is this right?

    It will also block other stuff that you may want. You could hide the installers for DS and its plug-ins if you are worried about accidentally overwriting, but the prime deence is to back up the installers - as long as you have those you can recover from other mistaken updates etc, not to mention  moving to a nwe system or having to reinstall on your current system.
