Pirate Jack Tomalin Knockers!

http://www.daz3d.com/knocker-pirates

While I don't have any use for this particular item, I just wanted to say that it's really cool to see something completely different appearing for once. So refreshing!

Oh, it's great for shelf knick-knacks and for kids' toys. Adorable!

Oh that's clever. I didn't even think of that. I was thinking some sort of little pirate mini story.

English isn't my native language, but isn't "knockers" something completely different than knocker? cheeky

But yes, it was an unexpected and fun thing to see in the store today. Jack is full of surprises.

    Greetings,

+1!  I thought it was adorbs, and am picking it up!

But yes, I can totally see an action pirate scene, with a very out of focus, huge kids head in the background, looking at it. :)

  • Hey,

Thanks very much.. I've been sitting on these for years but figured now was a good time as any to throw them in the mix.  They turned out quite fun and the promos made me laugh.. so hopefully they make others do too.

There's actually a lot more that's already been made for in the Knocker! universe, so if these get a warm reception expect to see future installments!

And yea, it's good to do something completely different.

I'm going to create a story for my sons (1 & 3yo) with them. Very Funny and I belive very versatile!

Can't wait to try them out tonight

If I hadn't picked up a big pro bundle today I totally would have grabbed them - especially if there are more coming for the same universe - I love modular combinable things.

When I read "Pirate Knockers" I imagined something completely different lol - like a very skimpy female pirate outfit wink

These are pretty cool though. They'd be excellent for starting to learn animation with.

  • Ah yea, Pirate Knockers are something else entirely ;)  Which reminds me, I need to get the mermad finished up.

That's why I decided to use the Knocker! prefix.. so we can have Knocker! Monsters, Knocker! People etc.. :)

Grabbed 'em, they look like awesome fun.

Not sure if I want Knocker! Monsters first, or Knocker! Spacemen... less then subtle hint... wink

I thought a pirate's delight is grabbing a sunken chest.

Likewise, I have no use for it, but I'm thrilled to see variety in the store. (Who knows what I'll be working on down the road. ;)

Yeah, after you said that, I remember looking around for medieval toys (which of course were quite primitive) for an image I did last year and ended up just using building blocks. You put a wood texture on these and draw on a new face and they could work well. Looking forward to seeing expansion sets!

Oh and the promo images are really cute!

I think this may be a case of Americans not knowing about British slang.

They are very nice figures. I'm tempted but I don't usually do that sort of picture.

True, but do not forget that Jack is British, so would have been aware of the word's "double" meaning

I didn't realize that that particular use of Knockers was limited to the UK, since I've heard it around here (though not in a while... so it may be dated in the states.)

.. I've been sitting on these for years ...

If you sat on them for one more week, they could have been released on April Fool's Day . . .  would have made people wonder if it was for real.
