Lips Service G9

There's yet another lips morph/geograft product for G9 today. Anyone have an opinion on the strengths and/or weaknesses of the various offerings:

I'm not saying any of these could be called "the best". I'm sure they all have something to offer. But I'm hoping someone already did some of the leg work (lip work?) of comparing them. I already own a few of them but haven't investigated them critically. (Too much impulse buying on my part.)

    I can't speak on the other products other than the info shared on their store pages and promos - I believe they all provide some very nice morphs!

    My product (Lip Service) is very different in that it doesn't provide morphs - I created it specifically to address the feedback of the community missing the separate lips surface that Genesis 8.1 and below had, and this was done using Daz's geograft tech. Basically it replaces the lips with a new mesh so that it can have it's own surface, which makes applying lip makeup much easier. It goes further than that as you can apply a Genesis 8 version of the graft so that you can directly apply a lip material from a Genesis 8 character :)

    Yeah, Silas3D I debated including or not including yours because it is a geograft. But, since you released it recently, it would have felt odd to not give it lip service. (Sorry, folks.)

    I see what you did there ;}

    I try to give products catchy names - love a pun or idiom!

    Yes, it is hard to choose. I have only purchased Silas3D product. Need to find a time to test it.

    @Artini thank you for purchasing!

    If you need any help, I created a thread here:

    I'm in the process of doing an update to add a help dialog, you'll see an in progress screenshot attached on the latest post.

    I have it on my wishlist for now. Strict budget right now due to major car repair and another software license renewal that I forgot about. So I have to be careful now.

    I had missed your product and this thread alerted me to it. After looking it over that is why I wishlisted it. I am not sure if it will do what I hope for (a splotchy watercolor affect on the skin) but regardless it looks interesting.

    Hi @memcneil70 I would assume you're talking about my newly released today product LIE Skin Blends?

    If so, here's the dedicated thread: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/749356/lie-skin-blends-commercial#latest

    I'd be curious to see an example of the watercolor effect you're looking for, so by all means post a comment and image on that thread :)

    This thread is discussing lip specific products and in my previous comment is a link to a thread dedicated to my Lip Service product.

    Good luck with your car!

    Yeah I just realized I was somehow in the other thread! Working at an angle with two cats 'helping' giving me advice. Just a bit distracted.

  • Funny thing is I was just thinking about this very topic.

    Six months ago, I suggested a similar product for bicep corrective morphs (Would People Be Interested in Realistic G9 Bicep Morphs?). It got little-to-no traction. The upper arms are one of my least favorite areas to work with on Gen9.

    Yet we have nearly ten lip style morphs...

    One thing that can help with flexed biceps (and other muscles) is to turn on Flexion Automatic Strength in parameters tab - it's off by default.
