Payment stuck on processing [SOLVED]

I made an order for several products today and paid with PayPal roughly at 08:30 CET. So far, about 3 hours later the payment is still processing. A few minutes after ordering I got an automated email from PayPal saying that the payment is pending and that the transaction is being reviewed as a security precaution. Should I be concerned? I am also getting intermittent 502 and 504 errors while writing this. Perhaps there is a connection?

    What did you buy? There have been cases where Paypal didn't like the name of a product and the transaction has been stuck.

    Hmm... I don't see anything special in those names that Paypal might block... Unless it thinks "Festival Pot" might refer to marijuana? indecision (yes, their algorithm is sometimes quite stupid. I remember it blocking a product which was shoes with "cuban heels" because of course that had to be related to Cuba...)

    You could give it a bit more time, but if that doesn't help then yes, please open a Sales ticket.

    After 12+ hours, I noticed that according to the Orders in My Account, the status of the payment is Failed. My understanding is that the payment did not go through and I assume that PayPal will refund the money in 7 days. Am I correct in assuming that the payment did not go through?

    I just tried to put the order through again and the same exact problem has occured: stuck on processing and the PayPal email says the payment is pending. The new order shows as Pending in the Order status.

    I would like to buy these items at the price that they are now, (hence my repeated attempt). Should the payment fail again, would Support allow me to pay the price of what would be the failed order for the items in question?

    I plan to pay using credit card directly from now on- no more PayPal!

    By the way, in order to test and confirm if this is a problem with this particular order or something else, I went ahead and bought some Store Credit (Gift Card). I was able to pay with PayPal and the process went smoothly. I am now almost certain that the problem is with this particular order. Has anyone else bought any of these products without any PayPal hitches?

    Small update: The second order failed as well, so I am going to assume Daz did not get the money. I am also assuming that PayPal will eventually refund me. Once I have confirmation that the order actually failed and in the event that PayPal do not refund me, I will raise the issue with them. If anyone with knowledge of the situation can enilghten me further, please, go ahead.

    Further to this, now that the order status is Failed, I just went ahead and used the Store Credit to buy the products and that worked without a hitch.

    I don't think it's you.  There's something unusual going on with PayPal today.  Paypal is being tight-lipped about it, so I have to read reddit posts.

    Yes, something was definitely wrong with Paypal.

    Today, I got an email fom PayPal stating that the payment for the first (FAILED) order went through, and sure enough, I also received a receipt from Daz for the same order. Now, I am also expecting the same thing to happen for the second FAILED order. When that happens, I will open a ticket with Sales support for 2 refunds for the duplicate FAILED orders which I ended up buying  through purchased Store Credit.

    Strange though... I expected that since the orders in My Account had changed from Pending to Failed, that would have meant there was no chance of them going through!

    The issue was resolved successfully with a Support Sales Ticket. Thanks to the staff.
