OT: Explorer crashes all the time now

    Thanks for the link LG.  The scan I was doing froze up.  Not the computer but the scan using that ESET scanner.  So I just aborted.  I'll go there then and get a fresh copy of MBytes and see if that works..

    You're welcome.  Just be sure to go to ".org" NOT ".com"  !!!!!!!!!!! 

    Run the freshly downloaded copy while still in "Safe Mode with Networking".  I've had a couple instances where running MalwareBytes in full running mode will find the problem and say it's been fixed but shortly afterwards will reappear.  But after running while down in a "Safe Mode" seems to clobber a few more hidden seeds of infection.

    It's been a long while since I have had a Explorer crash but the crash dumps when it happen will be here:

    <System Drive>\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\CrashDumps

    Two in few months on me. Secondary disk D die in June, principal disk C is in comma since November. They both began with Explorer freezing, these had bad sectors. Currently I have my SO in a 200 Gb partition of a WD My passport external disk. The first thing that had die in all computers I had had was the HDD.
