Importing landscapes

Hi,
I keep running into custom shaders being used in DAZ landscape assets, like for this one: Grassy Grove

Probably because native DAZ shaders are too limited when it comes to larger environments.
Does anyone have some suggestions on how to create similar shaders for this in Blender?

Thanks!

When there's a custom shader diffeomorphic tries to get the basic attributes as the diffuse texture. A better way is to convert to uber before exporting, that is, apply the uber shader in daz studio. Often the uber conversion from daz is way better than what diffeomorphic approximates itself. However, either way it's an approximation.

Your best option for custom shaders is to convert to uber or 4-layer uber, then fix it in daz studio before exporting.

    Hi Padone,
Thanks for your feedback - as always!

I've tried converting the asset's terrain shader to 4-layer Uber, but didn't get good results. And fixing that in DS is beyond my skill set, nor am I certain that it's even possible.
It's ironic, how Blender really shines compared to DAZ when handling large environments, but then importing those materials into Blender can be an issue.
I may have to stick with native Blender assets for some of my landscape needs it seems.

    Anyway - thanks!
