Powerpose Edit Mode Help
![]()
The powerpose plugin allows you to modify the assets by editing them. Except when I try enter Edit Mode, it tells me the template is proctected. How do I edit the template? Or create a new template based on another template?

Yes, the newer figures have templates that are protected. I can't recall how to assign a new, generic template that can be edited (though of course it won't have the unique features of the current template).
Has this been reported as a bug? From my point of view there's an inaccessible "edit mode" menu item. Why isn't there a "copy as new" function or something similar?
Well, it isn't a bug in telling you you you cannot edit a protected template. This post seems familiar for instructions on how to create a new template set, which you will be able to expand and edit to have the features you want (but starting from scratch). https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/7836761/#Comment_7836761
Thanks for the plug, Richard. @jmucchiello, you can edit the ones I made, no problem. Just be aware of the problem with memory loss (the PowerPose editor, not you or me) when making many changes. Save often, save early.
Be aware of what? This is the first place I've heard there's memory leak at all.
NorthOf45, yeah, I'd already found your templates. They are so much better than the defaults. I posted in that thread before posting here. But for some reason that didn't bring that thread onto the first page of threads in the freebies forum.
Not a memory leak, it's just that I noticed that the editor cannot remember more than a few changes at a time, otherwise they get lost. Change one or two controls, and save. It doesn't cost anything...
I hope someone notices this. When I use NorthOf45's PowerPose set. Whenever I switch between hands/body/face the pose set switches back to Base G9
