How do you create a blurred effect? should i just photoshop the render?

    Depth of Field (DOF) is supported in 3Delight, LuxRender (via Reality or Luxus) or Octane, from the Camera paramters, and I don't use Iray but I would think it allows for it as well, but photoshop will allow for a faster render in many cases and far more control over the final result.

    Iray supports DOF the same as 3DL, and i n fact, they're the same Camera controls.

    Photoshop can always be used to simulate blurring, vignetted or not. For actual depth of field, though, it generallylooks better (more realistic) to do it in the render, unless you're after some unusual effects.

    It can be fun to do depth effects in post, particularly if you are doing a few different effects from the same depth mask.
