More Wishlist Functionality

For those of us with rather lengthy wishlists, who here also thinks it would be a great idea to upgrade the functionality? I'm talking about implementing a total cost projection like over at Renderosity and a check box to help remove or move to cart numerous items at a time. I have well over 1000 items on my list and I want to finally start doing some major spring cleaning.

We used to be able to move multiple items over to the cart at once, I did that before the forum upgrade so I could see just how much $$ I'd have to spend to clear it out.

Well I didn't have to spend a penny cuz the site glitched and cleared it out for me LOL.

Anyways, I'd just be happy with a filter/search option that would work on keywords or phrases you enter into the comments section.

I'd like to do some spring cleaning, but RL has already done it's spring cleaning on my wallet and continues to do so. (This past weekend was an exception and I wish I had waited just 2 more days to buy)

  • I think the old software for the store/wishlist did have the cost computation feature, among other things. Why the new one doesn't is beyond me, since it's very useful.

I know they removed some of it because the way they displayed the prices and discounts before got a bit confusiong for a lot of people and I believe when they first had the beta of the new site up, they had something about eventually getting the prices back in the wishlist. I think everyone forgot though.

As for adding multiple items at once, I'd be scared to try it again due to what happened the first time. I'm still not positive I found and re-added everything back into my wishlist I had before.

Well, it's a new site now and as I said before, Rendo has some of these features that work quite nicely. So, there's no reason why DAZ can't re-implement them here. This is probably the best time to do it, too, where RuntimeDNA's products are on their way.

On the other hand Neither Daz 3D or RDNA has the feature.

The feature I would most like to see return is the notifications when an item on my wish-list goes on sale.  I actually found that quite useful.  I don't check my wish-list all that often; frankly, it just never occurs to me.  So to be reminded occasionally that I have stuff on it....

All the more reason TO have them.

i am so down this...especially on the list-editing front.

it'd be great to have the same editing capabilities in the shopping cart, too.

I wrote a Windows app a while ago that can do that:

    Latest version:

There is a link to a tutorial under Help but it's not up to date with the latest version, check the forum page for the latest features.

Now that you mention it, I do remember reading a thread about it. That was quite some time ago wasn't it?

9-10 weeks ago. The link to the thread is in my previous post.

Yea, I'm suffering from chronological disorder too. Things that happened only a year ago may seem like they happened several years ago, and vice versa. surprise smiley
