Fit__to problem
Hi there I would apreciate some help. I am using a Gen8 fig with an outfit made for it. When I try animate it I notice the outfit suit does not move with the figure. Under closer inspection I noticed that the problem is that the three components to the outfit being boots, suit, and helmet, only the boots and helmet move with the figure because under constraints they are set to Fit__to. For the life of me I do not know or can figure out how to give the same contraint to the suit. Right clicking does not give me that option. I am using Daz 4.22. Any help greatly apreciated. I have spent hours scratching my head on this.

Which suit? Does it have bones, and do they match the base figure's bones (plus or minus a few)?
It is a daveyabbo product. I bought 3 or 4 of them for my project a year or so ago, only playing with them now with animations. I have found all of them to have the same issues. The 'actor' prop will often have a helmet, main suit, second suit overlay, and occasionaly boots. As said before when exporting it the clothing and the actor will seperate when trying to animate it, the clothing is frozen to it but not moving. I have tried message him but no reply yet :( It should be compatibale. I really feel this is possibly an error occuring on exporting the source file out of Daz?
Export to what?
Since you didn't say which product I can't check, but I wouldn't be surprised if the bodysuit was a geoshell rather than actual clothes, and so exported in whatever program you're using as a static prop.
Well, you didn't mention either about what software you used for making animation and by which way you exported the figure + outfit from DS to that software.
If you use Blender, Blender fully supports geo-shell clothing no matter with material or rigged geo-node. For instance, I used the product - Miss-Quito for G8F from daveyabbo, exported them to Blender by using Diffeomorphic Daz Importer ... and animated the figure. (ss1 ~ 2)
Edit: Though case by case, Unity / UE / C4D all support geo-shell clothing, AFAIK ~~
hi there, thanks for the replies. I am trying to export them to Unity 2022 3.13f1, I am using the unity bridge. As these items are only comaptible with Unity I thought I need not mention it. I was trying to assertain if the issue could be resolved at the source.
The unity bridge is clearly exporting the body suit as a Geo Shell.
I will have to download blender again it seems, gawd its been years.
I have found one possible solution tonight that may be easier but I keep finding the same question cropping up on searches over the past ten years, all with none or very little solution. If I can figure it out I will post the solution here. I was hoping it was an easier solution at the source. I gave up with the figures years ago as i just couldnt get the textures and materials right, at least the bridge update is helping. Although saying that even before the update to different pipline rendering I maaged to export a tank and a sentry robot to unity standard pipeline without much problems. I spent so much on these robo girls I came back as I really would like to use them in the game.
Thanks, again, I will either try the blender way or let you know if the code I found online works. Any other suggestions or advice still apreciated. I guess I may need to change the title of the post as it may not be a fit__to problem as I thought.
