after downloading a costume for genesis 9 on daz 3d i try to apply it to my avatar 9 on daz 3d, but it gives me an error that some files are missing and my avatar appears with gray blocks, can anyone help me?

Are you sure it is a complete costume, not a set of materials for application to an outfit that you don't have installed? How did you install - if manually it may be that there is an extra folder between the Content directory (e.g. the My Library folder) that DS is looking in and the start of the relative path to the assets files (e.g. the data or Runtime folders).
