I'm very sorry for you loss.
My condolences. I'm so sorry for your loss.
((HUG)) Sorry to hear about your loss.
I don't like coloscopies, but I get them every 5 years because my Dad did develop Colon Cancer twice. The second time wasn't as bad for him because he had been getting his colonoscopy as recommended by his doctor after the first occurence. My father-in-law also had colon cancer and wasn't as lucky. So I have learned to face the risk and discomfort and get done what is needed.
So sorry to hear of your loss. Time does heal. Take each day as it comes. Look after your Mum.
My heart goes out to you and your family. Very sad that sometimes "mans medicine" takes such a horrible turn. I'm over 55 now and still have not had my suggested colonoscopy. No desire really. Take a bit at a time, you will be OK but it's OK to feel broken, your grieving. Pulling yourself up by your bootstraps right now is not the right way. Grieving is but get with your family in Florida and greive, share stories and even laugh will be the medicine you most need right now to help get all of you through this time. HUGS!
They put me out for mine. The most uncomfortable part for me is the prep. The day of laxitives is pretty brutal. I was finding toys I swallowed when I was a kid.
Sorry for your loss,I recently lost my Mom. I hope you get thru this.
Just so you folks know, it was good Pixel8ted got to fly in the day after posting. We had (at LEAST) three tornados here, one on that side of town, yesterday around 4pm. Pixel8ted and I had emailed back and forth as I'm in the Pensacola area where the family lives. They should have nice weather for the funeral, no rain today or tomorrow, 64-67 degrees. (I don't know when the funeral is, I'm assuming it wouldn't have already happened within a day with the family still arriving.)
Pixel8ted was really appreciative of all your thoughts, not sure when/if would be getting online, obviously there's a lot to do.
Sorry for your loss. Take the time you need for you. We will all be here when you get back.
Thanks for keeping us updated. I'm glad they arrived safely.
I am so deeply sorry for you losing your father. I will keep you and him and his loved ones in my prayers.
You are certainly right about the danger of the colonoscopy.
I have a friend who is a MD specialist is internal medicine; he had it done and again, a perforation of the large intestine..... not so safe as it seems.
