My downloader came with genesis starter kits. Does this mean I can get any genesis model as long as the version is compatible?

    No, it means you can get all of them. All of the Genesis figures work in DAZ|Studio; the only difference is how old they are, the newest version has improved bending and assorted other improvements. But don't forget about the oldest version, some very nice products only came out for it.
