Where Can I Find. . .?

Please move this if it's out of place. . .

Simple request; I see these platform boxes in a  lot of promo shots (see attachments) but never seem to find out where to get them. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • I don't think you get them. You just make a new primitive in daz in a form of a cube. Then throw some basic shader over it.

Thanks a lot. . .wouldn't have thought of that. . .I'll give it a try.

(P.S. Being new to all of this I don't know what "throw some basic shader over it" means)

  • "Throw some basic shader" basically means you select some material for your primitive. Otherwise it renders in simple gray.

    To do that:

    1.Create primitive
    2.Select the primitive
3.Go to the surface tab and select the surface of the primitive (there will be only one)
4.Go to your content library and look for Shaders (Usually something like DAZ content -> Shader Presets)
    5. If you use Iray, choose an Iray shader and double click it
    6. If you use 3Delight use a 3Delight shader one

You should have some basic shaders in your library installed with the Studio. Iray has like 20-30 of them shipped, like glass and plastic etc.

Let me know if you need more help.
