Looking for New Orleans
I'm sorry if this is not the place to post this but I'm not realy sure where to post it.
I'm looking for help finding some freebies. I am making a short video for a friend. It has an old New Orleans feel.
I need a small house similar to those in Princess and the Frog. Also any buildings simlar to those on Bourbon Street. I attached some pics from the movie. I've looked around and found a few that might work if I can't find anything else, but I thought someone that was more expreinced at Daz might be able to point me to some things I may have overlooked. Also any interiors/furniture/props that would fit the same theme and time period of early 20th century. I found some good clothing so I don't really need anything there... though I might need soemthing for children, I'm not sure yet.
I don't have any money for this. So I prefer freebies but if there's anything that's a few bucks that anyone knows would fit this theme that would be alright too.
Thanks and sorry again if I'm not supposed to post this here. But I don't know where else to post it.

Those are great. I just wish I had some money to spend on this. I have to look at those movie sets. It might be worth the money if I can get a whole set that would work.
For freebies maybe convert sketchup models to obj and import. These in particular seem like what you may be looking for: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=ud5696481-8c41-42c5-b181-e0270252eedd and https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=179501628b11c7dfad656f212e8ca1c1 and https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model.html?id=e6a5cfa27017c3a1ae6363a26cef94fb
But there are lots of other New Orleans items:
French Quater items:https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search.html?q=French+Quarter+New+Orleans&backendClass=entity
and New Orleans in general: https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/search.html?q=New+Orleans&backendClass=entity
Oh wow those are perfect...and free! I never converted sketch up to obj though, do you know of free program that would do it? I really don't have much to spend.
There are plugins available on Sketchucation...I usually use TIG's plugin.

If you have never used Sketchup get the free Sketchup Make. It includes a free 30 day trial of Sketchup Pro and so for the first 30 days you can open the model in Sketchup and simply export as an obj file using the builtin export of Sketchup Pro. This is the method I think is best.

After your 30 day trial is up you can still go to Extension Warehouse and get a free extension to export to obj. I use the LIPID export extension or as mlc1016 has suggedted in the post above there is the TIG obj exporter plugin for Sketchup.
Thanks, Ill try the trial then. Sounds like a good idea! There were a couple of models on that site that would be perfect so this would be good if I can convert them.
thanks again.
I've used both mentioned plugins...and I prefer TIG's. It seems a bit 'faster' and 'cleaner' to me.
Be careful with some of the New Orleans models, all they are, really, are boxes with some photo textures slapped on. They won't look like much of anything, in Studio.
Maclean's Shotgun Shack exterior may be similar to what you're after. You might need to enhance the porch a bit.
