Morphing character

Not sure if this has been answered already, but here's my latest question. I have a G8M character that I've created in Daz. Standard human. I'd like to have him be able to transform into one of the monster/non-human characters for G8M that I also purchased. If at all possible, how would I even begin to go about this? Since both figures are the same "base" (if you will), the geometry count and UV maps should (theoretically) be the same. I'm using 3.0 with Diffeomorphic for my Blender imports.

I really shouldnt weigh in because i've used blender for like 1 minute years ago, but i assume making a transformation animation is as simple as key-framing the relevant shapekey.

I recall seeing instructions for bringing your library of daz morphs into Blender as shapekeys on Diffeomorphic site/video tutorials.

Otherwise an alternative could be to transfer shapekeys based on geometry using one of Blender's modifiers (data transfer modifer if i remember correctly)
