Fiddling with Kori's skin.
Fantastic results!!!! Would love to know your settings......?
iPad Pro resolution...
Very nice. I love the iphone...
And I notice her, ah... talents... aren't quite so robust as some of your other images. (snicker)
As I don't have any Gen2 or 3 products this is Genesis rendered in Daz Studio/Iray with using 3 Spot lights and 1 distant light for the back lighting. For my first portrait I don't think it came out that bad.
Yeah, that's really nice. I haven't done much with lights other than HDR's.
CHEERS!
Szark: Very nice overall, and I particularly like the hair.
As for lights, it's one of those things a lot of us sort of breeze past, but it can make such a difference. Heh. But yeah, I usually just use one of Mec4D's portrait HDRs.
Where do you get them from? I wasn't using Iray when her birthday thread was active so I missed all the freebies she had.
CHEERS!
Rogerbee and timmins.william thanks
I tried a studio HDRI first but it washed out the detail so I went with a 3 point light rig instead
That is an understatement in my estimation. Very nice render. May I ask what you used for shaders on Genesis and the hair. Both are excellent. Thanks for sharing.
Jack
Thanks Jack
I just used Iray Uber Shader Metalicity/Roughness on everything. I will take some screen shots of the settings later. I did use DT's Interjection SSS strength maps in the Translucency Weight channel. The Skin texture set came with SSS colour maps so they went into the SSS colour channel
Szark, I think she turned out GREAT! The hair is fabulous, too.
Here are the hair settings http://itiseyemeeszark.deviantart.com/art/Val-hair-settings-559435165?ga_submit_new=10%253A1441900094
and the skin http://itiseyemeeszark.deviantart.com/art/Val-skin-settings-559435586?ga_submit_new=10%253A1441900205
the reason I put them on dA is for the size.
thanks barbult
I've been putting it off; there is the risk that faster renders will mean buy more product to test; the alternative is that i'll be waiting less time for renders so spend less time looking for stuff to buy. :)
Scott 6 portrait.
Interesting, I wouldn't have thought to do that. Nice going.
CHEERS!
Looks good!
CHEERS!
Indeed it is; I like the slight gap on the teeth too, adds some believability to the scene.
Thanks. This is why Sharing helps us all learn. If I make money on something I won't share though. :)
I can't wait to get some Gen3 products.
an Old scene too
you're right, but this can be fixed easily:
Been a while;
Just for the record...
Thanks for posting the settings.
Jack
my pleasure Jack
Interesting, I wouldn't have thought to use that Top Coat Thin Film, I based what I did on Mec4D's settings.
CHEERS!
Ok, I tried Top Coat Thin Film on Darius with the same setting and only noticed a very slight difference in the skin tone. Here he is anyway..
CHEERS!
It depends on the lighting. HDRI's won't show the difference. Use some spots and change the thickness to 400 NM and see the difference. In fact sebum has a wave length of 400 to 600 NM which I tried but the colour was too intense. I need to play with Top Coat and Gloss strengths to get a fine balance without the Top Coat giving a vivid colour.
Also I noticed the HDRI's I have give less highlights than spots do.
In honor of my money drought finally ending, here's a new thing I got!
BIG HUGS FOR VALANDAR!
Yes, that's Slime Beast http://www.daz3d.com/slime-beast . Tweaked a bit for Iray.
