OBJ export from Daz to Blender (and reverse)

October 2023 in Blender Discussion

Hello there,

Could somebody give me the best options to export stuff from Daz to Blender and reverse so as to keep the same size and orientation ?

Is there a way to modify the standard Blender dimensions : I would prefer to have centimeters instead of meters.

In DazStudio is there a standard dimension (cm, inches ...) ?

Working with splines with these discrepancies is particularly complex for me

Thanks a lot

The normal way of doing it is in the export/import options, where you can change orientation and scale.

Daz Studio uses unit of cm.

Blender uses default unit of meter. But you can change that in the scene tab, and maybe generally in preferences. Even if you change the unit size, you still need to change orientation in export/import (either in blender or in Daz Studio)
