Why do these imported wings stretch on the left side?

RexRedRexRed Posts: 1,493
July 2023 in Blender Discussion

These wings I imported from Daz into Blender, when I go into pose mode, when I rotate the right side of the wings everything is fine the entire wing rotates at the bone joint (top image).

But when I rotate the left side the tip of the wing stays in place and the wing stretches rather that move with the joint. (bottom image)

What is weird is I tried to use the Morningstar wings and the exact thing happens to them and also the other wings that have the tail piece.

All three wing figures will rotate only on one side and the left side will stretch rather than rotate the whole wing.

Just wondering if anyone here knows why this is the case and how one might fix this in Blender.

This problem has left me unable to pose them.

Thanks

Check whether the bone has any of its rotation or transform axes locked. Perhaps it is trying to rotate only on one or two axes with something locked in place, giving a skewed result?
