Hmmm. This penalizes people based on their spending habits the first eight days of the sale. This is a good thing why?  And I have always been at 4 REVs, so this doesn't impact me- but seriously, you shouldn't test a sale / change it up unless you are going to give the people who haven't bought, a chance to play along with the people who did.  Have a time period where they can get their REVs higher if they buy things like the rest of us did. August is a long month to penalize someone for their first week spending habits.

Thanks VERY much for taking care of the higher REV people, but I feel for those who simply didn't want earlier products and are getting stuck the rest of the month with this. EDIT: Particularly the one Rev people. My spending habits of 8 days gets me what those people have to do for the next 21 days, buying three things at a time?

I am PISSED at the change.

I made a few purchases that I was only marginally interested in, and now I feel LIKE I'M BEING SCREWED for doing so.

No one got screwed in the restructure.  If you earned Rev Ups, you're still getting the discount you earned.  Everyone who had Rev Ups should see a message when they log in.  Instead of saving 40%/50%/60%, people save:

    (1 rev up) 46/50/60%

    (2 rev ups) 52/60%

    (3 rev ups) 58/60%

    (4 rev us) 64%

So, you're still getting the savings you earned, but now your Rev Ups you earned don't expire, and you don't have to buy every day to save large amounts.  Not sure why you feel screwed by that.

Okay, I kinda am getting screwed in this.  See when I bought the poses this morning, I had 1 Rev up.  At the time I purchased the poses (6:18 this morning, DAZ time) the old deal was still in place.  But for whatever reason (I'm guessing switching the banners and the sale programming) my Rev Ups never upgraded to 20%.

If the new sale had been propperly in place at the time, I would have bought Valendar's new armor, and let the poses sit on my wish list.  Now I'm forced to do the opposite because I didn't know the sale conditions were in flux at the time I purchased the poses, and as far as the computer was concerned, I only had 1 Rev up.

Hmm, when the banners all disappeared, I panicked, and quickly made all my purchases for today. 3 items. At 40% off. Minutes after this purchase, the new rules came out, saying 3 items would be 60% off. I know I purchased before the new rules came out, but do you think it's possible they would count that purchase as being made just a few minutes later? :)))) I already sent in a support ticket, asking if this was possible. I'd just like to know what my odds are. :) What do you think?

We suggest you submit a ticket.

Did that. Thank you. I'm hoping for the best. :)))

  • The move from Rev Ups being 4 days to them being 6 days was a response based on customer feedback and buying patterns.  The move from Rev Ups to Full Throttle was a response based on customer feedback and buying patterns.  The plan right now is that Full Throttle will remain in place until the end of the PA sale.  If however, customer response and buying patterns shows that this is not the right choice, we will potentially make further changes while making every effort to ensure that those who have loyally been pruchasing thus far in the PA sale are not penalized.

Thanks for the transparency. I figured as much, but reading it confirms it and should help people who might not understand what is going on a bit.

I don't mind that you changed the structure.  I just wish it had been in place (and in the sales banner) when I bought stuff this morning.  As it is, I do feel that I should have started the new sale at 20%, because I wasn't aware of the changes at the time I made the purchase... Of course, all I have for proof of this is the Time Stamp on my order, but I'm not going to fight with Customer Service (and 90% of the time with stuff like this, I *do* end up fighting with them, because they're so overwhelmed with angry tickets that they just skim them, and don't actually read my request/complaint) over the right to give you my last $10 of Mad Money before Saturday.

  • I am pleading...  No, I am begging...  At the inevitable sales meeting, prior to the next big sale, that when someone comes up with a new (insert adjective (cute, fancy, novel, innovative, imaginative, fun, etc.) that someone remembers this thread. And points back to it. So that we can just start with the sane sale, instead of going through this confusion again.

Okay, good, that's half the questions I wanted answered.  The second was whether the "still featured" items and PA store sales were going to remain "still featured" and active for the same time periods as on the Rev Up sale?   Or, given the sudden addition of PAs who don't have an active Featured Item, is there going to be a different kind of product rotation?

  • I like the new terms, but I find it still somewhat confusing.

In general I bought little during the first 9 days of the sale from the trigger items. Mostly because there was little new sci-fi or male items. Yesterday I presumably had 3 revs.

My rewards are: 52% off of one and 60% off of two.

Is this a one time purchase? All the time?

My reward is 58% off 1 and 60% off two, so not much difference between whether I buy 1 or 2. I had 4 rev up points this morning, so I am not sure why I missed out on an opportunity for 64%, but oh well, a 4% loss is not too bad. At least there is no need to buy stuff I do not want. I almost picked up the PC+ poses today as my rev maintance item, despite me having no real interest in them at all, so I am pleased with the new format.

  • This whole thing has been more than a little confusing. I really shouldn't need a map or process diagram to sort out a sale.

    You no longer do.

  • Really? Do I need to buy a new release today in order to keep my current discount of 62%?

no. whatever discount they told you have in the personal message, will last for the remainder of the sale.

Well, as of right now. Steve said they might change up the sale again based on buying trends, but would "make every effort" to take care of people.   (Quote: "If however, customer response and buying patterns shows that this is not the right choice, we will potentially make further changes while making every effort to ensure that those who have loyally been purchasing thus far in the PA sale are not penalized.")

Okay, we JUST got told that REVs would be good for 6 days just a few days ago.  Now that entire plan is gone and we've got a standard buy on 40/buy 2 50/buy 3 50 off deal?

Excuse me, but DAZ promised that the REVS on items that I bought as late as this morning were going to give me discounts for 6 days.  And now they're not applying at all.  What The Hey People?

Actually we have honored what was promised.  Those people who had earned Rev Ups should see a message when they log in, informing them how that relates to the newly structured sale.  Not only are people earning the discount that they earned for Rev Ups, but they are now good for the entire sale, rather than just 6 days.  so basically, the Revs you had at the time of the transition do not expire.  They stay in place and create the foor pric that you save during the sale.

    Emphasis mine.

I think it is pretty clear if they change again, they have no intention of taking away what has been offered. Of course, anything can happen.

    Still 3 days like before.

Not working here for featured artists catalog. I only get 40% off, although I should get 64% off, no matter what i put into the cart.

Well... it is working, I was wrong... I get 64% off the original price... I counted 40% off 40%

    Wow.

I won't go into specifics, but DAZ has taken care of my issue very, very, very satisfactoraly. :)

    Thank you, DAZ folks. :)

What about the no return policy?

  • NovicaNovica Posts: 23,923

Items purchased with the discounts are still not eligible for returns or refunds, as per the new full throttle page.

  • wizwiz Posts: 1,100

Any combination of items from the New Featured, Still Featured, Featured Artist Catalogs, & Even More sections below are:

    ONE for 40% OFF   |   TWO for 50% OFF   |   THREE+ for 60% OFF

Why didn't they just do this in the first place? It's so much simpler. :eyeroll:

Because the sale was actually starting to work out well for customers.

People were starting to accumulate rev-ups. Someone with just 1 rev-ups could get about 50% off on two items, by buying the cheaper one first at 46% off, waiting for the new point to accrue (despite the rules saying 5 minuts, it took about 6 hours for me the other day), then buying hte second item at 52% off.

Someone with 2 revs got 52% on everything, without having to buy at least 2 items.

Someone with 4 revs got 64% on everything, without having to buy at least 3 items.

i dunno about that theory only beause they didn't remove my revs and they will last for the remainder of the full throttle sale unless something changes. I lost nothing and so far only gained. So not sure there is enough evidence to suggest they changed it to prevent it from working out well for customers.

in the blue banner message I got this

As our thanks for participating in the REV-UP portion of the Premier Artist Festival, we want to give you a special boost in the Full Throttle portion of this sale. Instead of getting one item at 40% off, two at 50% off, and 3 or more at 60% off, you will be able to get:

    • 52% off one item
    • 60% off two or more items

You had 2 rev-ups, right? That means you've "earned" the right to buy one more item at the 52% rate you'd earned, before they take it all away and drop you back down to 40% on a single item purchase.

I had 3 rev-ups, so my note said 58% for 1 item, 60% for 2 or more. Of course, I could have bought 1 item at 58%, waited for the rev-up to kick in, and bought that second item at 64% off. If the items are equal price, that's 61%. If they were unequal, I'd have bought the cheaper one first and then saved even more on the pair. ;)

God only knows what note they sent to the people who had 4 rev-ups.
