favorite seam-free 3DL DAZ Studio shaders?

What are everybody's favorite 3DL shaders for DAZ Studio that work throughout any shaped volume, rather than wrapping over the surface, so that they do not leave any seams?

I've been working on a render using volumetric clouds.  They are not surface wrapping, and one can create some interesting effects with point lights within the cloud.

Edit:  I think I understand what you're saying now.  I misunderstood at first.  You're looking for a shader that procedurally generates a texture in the volume, not on the surface, right?

    Correct.

  • I could do this in Blender, but I'd be interested to know how it's done in DS myself.

  • Dimension Theory has some projection shaders. It's not exactly what you are looking for, but results are independent of UV map and completely seamless (though useless for animation--except for the few rare effects where you can only use these kind of shaders). Also, they have the conventional variant in the pack, just in case.

Apologies if I misunderstood the request.

Also, Daveleitz, I'd be absolutely thrilled to see a volumetric shader (that's not a camera) for 3Delight. That would really make my day.
