That's for the DIM. It's better than the old database. I haven't switched over to it yet. Too many other things going on. But I plan on it.

takin moi beanie babies home.
Holy crap, Misty. Don't they know that it is the best way to make sure that their employees are going to rack up healthcare costs for the company? http://www.forbes.com/sites/jmaureenhenderson/2014/12/16/why-the-open-concept-office-trend-needs-to-die/ https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/on-leadership/wp/2015/04/22/office-designers-find-open-plan-spaces-are-actually-lousy-for-workers/ http://www.irishtimes.com/business/work/does-open-plan-get-the-worst-out-of-workers-1.2195271
i'm a temp. i don't get sickpay. But my rommoies are union. they can rack up sick hours galore.
can't believe it. and we have way different temperature tolerance. what i think is comfortable, they're like "oh it's so cold." thermostate wars, i'm turning it down, they turning it up. i have a fan doesn't do much when they suffocate me with the heat.
come on lotto!!!
freakin out. this is so NOT a 4 people office room. and they knew that cuz they were gonna move the walls. so like, let's not move the walls cuz it's too expensive, but we'll put 4 people in there anyway.
Well you can easily find more info by googling, using those articles as a springboard and then present it to your bosses, but FIRST, get your unionized buddies to read them too, and have them back you up with this.
thanks Skiriki. :D
Let's see if i have a job tomorrow. lol I raised my concern with the Director of the place, about breathing germs.
He said there's no money for the desks right now.
I don't get sick pay, so if I'm ambulatory, I am here. Carrying every germ i picked up on the bus.
on a positive note - they upgrading me to Access 2010. Iz like 3 versions behind. crikey. Office 2016 coming out.
Found my missing umbrella. Actually I left it at T-Mobile kiosk yesterday and it was returned to me today.
Morning. Gloomy grey sky day, overcast looks so low you could reach out and touch it :)
eeeks must not spend any more money
flooding warnings >.< good chance rain gonna keep me home tmorrow
My crystal ball tells me that a certain someone (MM) will be throwing everything, including the kitchen sink, into DAZ tomorrow.
Remember? Mine still is mostly a phone. It has a 2MP camera...I've had this phone for several years and have used the camera on maybe four occassions. Once, photos of a friend I hadn't seen in many years...didn't really know how to use it and I lost that photo.
It is capable of doing a little bit of Internet things, but I don't have a data plan...too expensive and just can't afford it. I was hoping that would have changed by now. Oh, well.
Dana
Oh, right. I have that kind, too. But I have a cordless set. Still have two phones in the house that are wired, though...one on each level.
Dana
Translation: Hey, that's not a photo of me...I'll just cover it up...noone will notice!"
Dana
Thank you! I am pretty sure I've heard that on several occassions. I've heard other owls, too, at night. But that one is distinctive!
Dana
Yeah, I've got a phone like that. It's a tiny Samsung and about 3 inches high and 1.5 inches wide and flips open when talking. It has a 1 inch square screen and the two or three times I've used the camera, the images were about as big and detailed as the avatar icons here in the fourm. Yeah, I could take pictures with it, but It hurts when I do that so I don't do that anymore. In poking around in the menu I've found that it says it can send text messages, and I actually get text advertisements from somewhere that I've learned to quickly ignore but I've never sent a phone based text message in my life. There is some sort of Internet presence... well it has an icon labled "Browser" but I've never figured out how it works, so I don't do that either. Yep, I just use it as a phone, and I don't do much of that either. I carry it with me on vacation. But I also carry it with me whenever I go out of the house so that if I have a heart attack while driving or shopping or walking to the post office, or using a public toilet I can at least dial 911 and try to describe where I am. However, since I rarely make calls, and I have no friends who have urgent needs to call me, the best part of this phone is that it only costs me $7 a month to feel like I'm still in touch with reality if not the 21st century!
It actually came in very handy during my recent trip to Florida where I got lost in a gated community and needed a relative to come guide me out of the maze.
As a side note, I've heard that there is a new app that you can get for these fancy modern smart phones. The app is fantastic. When you want to speak to someone you simply dial their number (hmmm... "dial their number"... there's a quaint expression) then speak into the phone what you want to say, then it's translated to text and sent to the receipient's phone and decoded back into speech and the receipient can instantly respond the same way. It's almost like talking directly to the person over a regular phone, but requires much higher technology, costs more and makes the phone manufactures and phone companies lots of profit. I also have a bridge I'm selling.
