I am not sure I understand what's going on with genesis 9 males however the recent releases have some disappointing issues with the bodies the bends and movement look odd to me, and they seem to lack definition/hd.
Just the opposite for me. While there are some features and details that I finally got for G8 that have not yet been created for G9, I have been able to create some nice workable G9 characters for my projects so far. Then again I mostly work with female characters
I actually want to use genesis 9. But right now there simply isn't enough masculine stuff to build what I want and I'm beginning to question if genesis 9 isnt going to be worse than gen 8. With each generation, I've seen improvements but this is the first generation for me that hasn't take such a leap with the exception of the face.
I'm not referring to the female figures, but the males.
HOLD IT!
So you successfully transferred G8.1 along with K.M. Image's UNBM?!
Or better yet, is this your own sculpt?
If the former, then this changes everything!
But if it's the latter, then holy F* that's some magnificent work!
Question..
Are those complaining of G9s bad joints etc turning on all the corrective sliders, some of which are off by default for some reason?
That looks like HH Belle's body mostly. And my question is: If not for HH Belle, would you still feel the same about G9?
By the looks of these arms and armpits, your opinion appears to be visually verified. That is what V4's armpit looked like.
The ones that do not default to 100% are not as likely to be used - they add details on top to FACS (expressions), poses (I assume the JCMs, braodly), and the last adds flexions (the tensing of muscles according to which joint is bent and by how much - though it has to be a gneric setting, it can't account for direction of travel or resistances)
Two points stick out for me, the face is too cartoony, and secondly, while the anatomy is on point, as her physique is nothing short of magnificent, I'm not entirely sold on the JCMs, while I do give credit with the attempt, it does not look natural, but I blame noodle knees nine for that, as the base's joints are too bare-boned, I'll most definitely get her for the physique though, especially useful once the UNBM comes out!
I'll most definitely snag her when she's on sale!
Go to a cafe'! Sit with a nice cupt of coffee or tea and observe. Real world proportions are all around you. That's why I laugh when folks say "He's not masculine enough" or "she's not ........ " All anyone has to do is just go and observe. As suggested, if you are unhappy with the default size and shape of the figure there are many many dials to change that. Then save that out as your main figure to work with and load that each and every time for your starter base. We all have our likes and dislikes about body and face shape but then we have idealized visions of what the "perfect specimen" is and that's what the morphs are all about.
That's the other bit that folks forget about when they are idolizing a specific height..... torso and leg height ratios!
Very soon :)
I'm currently in the shadows doing other stuff... :P
