I tried few years ago in blender. it seems so easy, just make sphere or door and cut half surfaces mozaic,
    and set wall, surfaces.

I tryed same thing after read your topic in ds4 and set point light, but it seems not good.
so I will trying again step by step with this tuto.

I can not make any tutorial, just want to check your topic, and I felt interesting,
so dig up your topic. :coolcheese:

then I feel , this tutorial seems different what I suppose.

my first try, is just make sphere , and cut half surfaces like my img,

(in image, I set on visibility , and set pointlight for sphrere light cover
so it make mozaic shadow, but it has no means.
just because I hope some one teach us and want to him know how I tried)

I tryed to adjust shadow or some render setting, change transtaltion, sizes,,
but I make something big mistake, maybe I need atomosphere like (dust or smoke?)

then I check this tutorial, and just do it as it say.

in tutorial, it make lay shape by cone ^^; I simply surprised,,,. image2 (long hair girl with army look swimwear)

ofcourse this tutorial is good, but is there another way to simple Vlumetric light , not with products plug-in?

    ============================

I read again old tutorial for blender, then ,, yes I had make big mistake,
I need fog, water,, or some atmosphere which may make shape of lay buy refrection ,,
so what I need if I want to make fog dust, etc,, in daz studio?
    I should buy some shader?
