OK, thank you. I got it solved, actually before I read this message. I worked on it yesterday. I just wanted to double check it this morning to see that it works out. Briefly, I uninstalled and then reinstalled DS. I uninstalled and then reinstalled one of your bone minion products. I think that brought the correct folder back into DS. I rebuilt the database, and re-imported the backed-up metadata. Everything seems to be working fine now.
I am not by any means of techie, so this was difficult for me. But I'm glad I got it worked out. I do think that bone minon products are wonderful. I hope you'll continue producing more of them. Thanks for spending time with me on what was for me a very difficult issue.
You're very welcome! I am so glad you got it solved.
Nope, the same problem has returned again. Sometimes it works for a while, then DS just starts crashing. DS seems to be working as it should otherwise, so I don't think it's a problem with DS, unless it's with this particular McIntosh version, 4.23.0.3. As a test, I uninstalled the bone minion Genesis 3 poses for Genesis 9, and I also deleted the package. I downloaded that item again and installed it. When I tried it out, DS immediately crashed again.
I think most of the Macintosh people are working on the alpha version of DS. But hopefully there's someone who could respond to this.
Did you install something new since it was working? It is perhaps a conflict with another product.
OK, I got it working again. This time I deleted all the packages for DS 4.24.0.3, and all the packages for all of the bone minion products. I re-downloaded and reinstalled everything. Once again, I rebuilt the database and re-imported metadata. It is working again. Hope it stays that way.
Gosh, I hope so too. I am glad you got it working again.
From my experience, It's how scripts are behaving currently on MacOS: sometime they crash Daz Studio, sometime they don't.
There is one silver lining: if a script didn't crash Daz Studio upon launching, that script should not crash Daz Studio for as long as you're not closing Daz Studio.
Some scripts will also crash more than others, but I don't know why.
In the end the best way to deal with scripts on MacOS is saving often, especially before launching a script. After a script crashed Daz Studio, it's best to simply re-launch Daz Studio as many times as needed to end with a session where that script didn't crash Daz Studio.
Does any Macintosh user have the bone minion batch converter? Does it work on a Macintosh? The simple bone minion scripts are very difficult to get to work.
