I purchased this product with the idea I'd be able to use it in Poser as the product page indicates DSON core installer included. However there were no CF files downloadable with the down load. Is this and oversight or am I missing something that will allow me to access the files from "My DAZ Studio" files?

DSON is a content format, like a CR2 or PP2.

The DSON Importer for Poser is a plug-in for Poser which allows Poser to import the DSON format, with a helper file supplied as Poser Companion FIles.

You can create your own Poser Companion Files from within DAZ Studio, though how well it works is dependent on if the content in question is using DAZ Studio features that Poser doesn't currently understand (Things like Rigid Follow Nodes, Instancing, etc.).

I am sorry if the terminology can get confusing, especially when people tend to shorten things.

You can also try with Dimension3D's free browser script, which lets you select the DSON file to import directly rather than using a PoserCF http://d3d.sesseler.de/index.php?software=poserpython&product=dson_loader
