Hey does anybody know if there's a character out there that looks like Priyanka Chopra?

Unfortunately, I have seen the similarity only with this shot.

That looks like a young Cat from East Enders. As far as the Anna Friel character that easily looks like her from the photos I've seen although I don't know it it was intentional. The textures and hair go a long way towards establishing perceived identity.

What do you think? Doesn't this character look like Anna Friel?

    Character:

    https://www.renderosity.com/mod/bcs/p3d-eva-for-victoria-4-and-genesis-2-female/109236/

    Original person:

    http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0295484/

I remember Friel from way back when she was on a soap opera, but honestly don't see any similarity in there. Even when young, her face seemed a lot narrower than that shows.

    Some youthful reference pictures:

That's a great start. There's definitely a good resemblance. I think the chin/jaw need to be a little higher. Her face isn't quiet that long. Also there needs to be a little more definition under her eyelids. One thing you can do to see where it's off is load a plane primitive in DS, set a picture of her as the texture on it, then adjust the scale until it's just in front of her face. Dial down the opacity, then you can see where it doesn't mesh up.

Gah! I've just realised where I've been going wrong!

This picture is the one I've been using on a plane primitive (as you noted) top shape the front: http://www.gloriesworld.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/10/juliet-landau-8.jpg

When I was refreshing to check the proportions are right, it suddenly became clear... The reason her eyes are so compelling is that her entire brow curves in this beautifully sleek circle down across the nose and it's almost perfectly in line with the shape of her eye sockets. It makes sense why she has that serpentine-like appearance now.

Unfortunately, I'm at a miss as to how to replicate this with existing morphs! I can only make a rough attempt at widening the brow just immediately above the bridge of her nose, but that only brings the curve down to there and then the nose of G3F goes at an angular straight downwards shape. I've tried playing around with everything, from the G3F Head Morph Resource Kit and Dogz' excellent 200 Morphs product, to adding in various degrees of several G3F characters and nothing seems to work.

Was tempted to get the new Grey Alien for G3F, in an effort to get this unique shape, but then realised it doesn't have a separate head shaping morph, so... That's not an option!

Anyone have any ideas? I don't have anything like Zbrush or Blender (have no idea how to properly use them). There must be something out there to help G3F to to become Juliet Landau's likeness!

Without ZBrush or Hex or something, it'll be hard to get a clean morph with what you want to do. There are a lot of shaping MR's you could look at, but I can't think of one in particlar that does what you're looking for... DieTrying's 182 Morphs for V4 is one I go back to a lot, and you can port that over to G3F without too many issues. Without a modeling program to fix the eye area though (the lashes and eyelid edges tend to muck up), I'm not sure how you'd go about it.

  • OH! Also, I think some of that can be done with contouring on the texture maps since I think the shadows on her nose are at least partially makeup. You'd be amazed at what a difference the texture makes.

Darn... I can only hope that the Creature Creator set gets here soon, so that I can try applying some of the usual alien eye socket shapes. They might help enough for a few other shaping morphs to compensate.

My first thought when looking at just the face and nothing else, is that I can kind of see a tiny little bit of Elizabeth Henstridge - Simmons in Agents Of SHIELD. But when I think of that show it then makes me think she looks much more like Adrianne Palicki (Bobbi Morse) from the same show.

    Carmen Electra, perhaps?

In my continuing quest to replicate the curved slope of Juliet Landau's central/upper brow/nose area, I noticed these, today, which I could technically get both of on discount. Both seem to have a gentle sloping curve in that area and I'm wondering if I could dial one of their heads in, then modify the rest accordingly.

    Source pictures:

But which one looks like they have the most applicable 'upper nose' area?

    Viola's nose is definitely closer.

  • That said, I think a lot of the curve is texture based, not morph based, so be careful...

  • XenomorphineXenomorphine Posts: 2,421

The nose is straighter on the sides than I thought, when watching recent videos, but the curve's definitely there on the upper part and brow.

Shall purchase and let you know if this has solved it!

I thought Juliet Landau might have the most unusual nose I've ever seen in a couple of those pictures but then I realized it was makeup affecting the light bounce.

I put up this morph a couple of weeks ago on Sharecg. It's my humble try at a celeb portrait for Angie Harmon. Comments? Critiques?

We don't have to look twice to see the resemblance on this one. Great job. I will add her to my directory as soon as I get the chance.

Other than the parted lips and hair color, I don't see a resemblance. The lip shape is different, the nose is different, the eyes are angled differently and Andromeda's are wide while Jennifer's are more narrowly set, the jawline is different, the brows are very different.

(now to figure out how to use the measurments to adjust figures).

Yeah, I was argued with that it was Gwendoline Taylor. http://ilarge.lisimg.com/image/5154515/960full-gwendoline-taylor.jpg

So I went with it. Now looking and your side by side comparison with young Jennifer Connelly and I see a lot more Jennifer Connelly in this morph.

There is a measurement tool available here:

    http://www.daz3d.com/measure-metrics-for-daz-studio

Plus there are several "measure wall" props around, to set figure heights. I picked up one at ShareCG.

Yeah, I know of Measure Metrics...have to read up on how it can be used to determine figure etc and adjust and so on..there's a thread somewhere here.

learn to use one and be consistant.I use MMand scale everything using that, so props, set dressing and figures are consist in scale.
