Has anyone seen a morph of a **young** David Bowie circa Ziggy Stardust? ryverthorn has the M4-based freebie Jareth over on Rendo: http://www.renderosity.com/mod/freestuff/?item_id=57568 However, that's about 10 years AFTER the period I'm looking for.

I know that's supposed to be David Bowie, but it's always looked more like Rod Stewart or Robin Williams to me. Heh...

The David Bowie morph is used in the promo and I believe Underground King M4 is one of his costumes?

    Just came across this one

It could be a mix I guess.

I decided that the only way I was going to get a decent David Bowie morph was to make one myself. Everything I've done below is on the Genesis base, with DieTrying's 182 Morphs for V4 [ported over by SickleYield], as well as my own strategic use of D-Forms. Well, okay, I dialed the Emaciated body morph up to 0.4, but that comes with Genesis base, so I'm not worried about its availability.

Sometime soon there will be a freely redistributable morph of Red Planet Arachnid [cough]!

I'm going to leave this alone for a few days, then come back to perfect, so any suggestions for improvement are welcome. Caveat: I'm going to get as close as I can with redistributable morphs and my own sculpting, but this will by no means be a professional or 100% accurate likeness.

Also, if anyone's looking for the Goblin King, [strike]you can't have him -- he's mine![/strike] it would be pretty easy to use this morph as a base and then age it, sag it, and fatten it up slightly. Crooked teeth and makeup are all up to you, though... :p

Anyone seen morphs for them anywhere?

Well, no. As I replied before, we know about these. You should do a search of the forum so you know what has been found before. Go thru my directory and you will see these there as well.

I assumed that the large list you posted on the 2nd page of this thread was the actual list.
Perhaps you should post the whole list here as well so there wont be any misunderstandings.
I was only trying to help out.

Please, don't take it the wrong way. I appreciate your help.

In my first post on this 2nd thread I posted links to two places with currently known morphs. There really is no need to repost a huge list on the forum. Or to continue reposting known morphs as new ones. I was just pointing out that we knew about this one already. Reposting the same morphs here post by post will be like recreating the first thread. LOL!

They are working or will be working on "twins" of celebrities like:

Jennifer Love Hewitt for V4 and Sophie Marceau for V4.

I always make a distinction between "twins" and "lookalikes".

To me, twins are like looking in the mirror. These are the kinds of morphs that get celebrities to take notice, like what happened at Rendo with the Red morph.

Lookalikes are not like looking into a mirror.

I get a lot of criticism from many because x lookalike I have listed doesn't look close enough to the real celebrity. I kind of have to explain to them that I am not hosting a twin's directory. Or maybe I should use the term "mirror image".

The "twins" may be really problematic... I used to try very hard to get as close as possible to the source material, but lately I've decided to tone it down and keep the "feel" rather than face lawsuits... especially when i'm willing to put these characters in online graphic novels.

For example, with this character, i was aiming for a cross between Colin O'Donoghue and Eion Macken.

There isn't really any difference between 'twins' and 'look-alikes'. It's wholly subjective. One person might feel a likeness is incredibly accurate, but another person might not. In either case, the artist has still aimed for as much accuracy as they can achieve.

They're all just 'likenesses', IMO. Whether or not one should be considered better than the other is, like any creative art, up to the viewer's own interpretation.

Well, for fan art you have no problems. It is when you put them up for sale. So if you are just using these in graphics novels that you give away online for free, I see no issues.

For fan art you should get as close as your skills allow.

We all have our opinions. In the end it is the celebrity whose likeness is being hawked that has the last say. This is what happened when one such case erupted (a bunch of these morphs were changed).

Since no other incidents have happened, I would say that being close to the real person caused a concern, it is not a figment of my imagination. The current likenesses haven't caused the same concerns, as they are still being sold. So, yes, there is a very big difference.

Just looking through the EmmaAndJordi catalogue while it's on sale, and noticed:

    EJ Guadalupe http://www.daz3d.com/ej-guadalupe

Salma Hayek - fair resemblance, and clearly intentional with the references to From Dusk Till Dawn in the description and main promo pic, the series of paintings of her as Aztec goddess Itzpapalotl, etc.

Had never thought that EmmaAndJordi characters might be intended as lookalikes before - must look through the others more carefully.

Inspired by maybe...I really don't see Salma Hayek there. Without the Dusk til Dawn imagery, I think it'd not be noticed.

Intentional, certainly, from the description and its 'Is she a ...?' followed by the list of Salma Hayek roles. How successful is another matter, and one of opinion.

Question: Does the character perhaps resemble Eiza González, who plays Hayek's Santanico Pandemonium role in the current television program From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series?

It comes / came with a set from renderosity, called Illusive Dancer for M4.

Also, a Patrick Swayze look-a-like (used to be, before the THING with legal matters happened)
