After importing from Daz into Blender, my character is locked

May 2022 in Blender Discussion

I am totally new to Blender and Daz, but still managed to creat a simple animation in Blender and save it in VR by following various articles and YouTube videos.  Worked great when viewed in my VR goggles!
But now I want to add characters created from Daz into the scene.  I have the latest version of the Daz to Blender Bridge (as of 5/7/2022).  I created a simple character and successfully imported it into my scene using the Bridge.  The problem is that when I am in Blender's Object Mode and click on the character, an orange outline appears around it and the circle with the blue, green and red movement arrows appear as they should.  But clicking on any of the arrows has no effect on moving the object like it would for other objects. The character just remains locked in place.

So, I now have a character in Blender, but no way of doing anything with it.

Any ideas?

Probably you have to select the armature, not the mesh. Then go to pose mode for animation.
