Oddity when exporting from Blender

l_stowel_stowe Posts: 169
January 2022 in Blender Discussion

Hey all,

Thought someone here might be able to help me. I've just followed a tutorial and made a prop in Blender, now I'm exporting it as an obj and I'm having this weird bounding. I've made sure just to select the geometry and not the light or camera object in Blender. I've changed the export to 'selection only' and I'm still getting this weird box appearing. I've attached a screenshot.

Thanks in advance for all the help

Luke

Does the prop itself look correct?

Thanks for the help. Mystery solved. It was basically a couple of rogue vertices off to the side. I think I might have added a mirror modifier at the wrong time or in the wrong order, so there were a few points from the star shapes nut holding the weights on just floating randomly out in space.

I selected the objects in blender and noticed that there were some highlighted bits off to the right, so I deleted those and all seems good now.

    Phewww.

    thanks
    Luke
