@Artini Very cool! It's awesome to see Hero 5 again! It's fun to see the legacy figures getting more attention and love. FilaToon compliments them so well!
I feel like those older Genesis toon/anime characters could find a lot of new uses with Filatoon.
... and here is my image rendering eyes also without filatoon material :-)
Thanks a lot for the comments.
FilaToon brings new quality to the old items and I like it very much.
I agree. I feel like I have found totally new items in my library when I render them with FilaToon.
Looks very nice.
I also mix iray materials with FilaToon and if image looks ok, I do not force myself to convert everything.

That came out neat! Very nice! And yeah, sometimes it's just easier to leave the eyes Iray. lol
Too cute! Ichiro and Koshini look nice with Filatoon! Older stylized characters mix so well with Filatoon rendering. :D
Thanks a lot, @3Diva
I like very much experimenting with older items in FilaToon - so many to choose from.
After many experiments I have found, that I do not like FilaToon converted hair and eyelashes of Genesis 8,
so I just used Toon filter in the Gimp. Below is an example on:

and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-idol-and-explorer-hair-for-genesis-8-and-9
Looks even better with https://www.daz3d.com/hs-mirage-strands-hair-for-genesis-9-8-and-81-females
Playing with https://www.daz3d.com/1-click-anime
It creates nice variations of Genesis 9 based figures.
Below is its test on https://www.daz3d.com/biomech-angels-for-genesis-9

This is very interesting. What sort of process did you use to get these shading/hatching effects?
Hi, mmitchell_houston. Long time no hear!
This is Grease Pencil in Blender. This GP feature that traces lines that join the vertices of a 3D model. Combine this with customized GP brushes, Blender produces interesing line art and hatching effects.
Computationally the process is heavy on the CPU. As I understand it, the math is based on vector rather than raster graphics; so the GPU steps in only after the CPU works on the Grease Pencil effects. I don't have as powerful a CPU compared to my graphics card, so rendering this image took longer than I would have wanted. Less is more is a good guiding principle when working with GP, I believe.
As to the shading, that's simply the basic shaders that Blender comes with.
Cheers!
Update: The GP line art is a one-and-done action. Once the long process during which the CPU generates the GP lines is completed, Blender stores the vector data to the file. Next time it loads the scene, Blender re-uses the GP line data. No heavy recalculation needed.
