Importing Genesis figure breaks all physics

So if I add a mesh to Blender and apply a Cloth physics modifier, when I play the animation all works as expected (the mesh falls like a cloth).

But as soon as I add a Genesis character to the scene via the DazToBlender plugin (which imports successfully), the mesh no longer animates when played. I've tested it again and it always stops working as soon as the Genesis character is introduced to the scene. Presumably I've missed something obvious?

Hmm no one experienced this? I've raised a support ticket as it's extremely easy to replicate and definitely caused by the plugin.

Importing a genesis character via any other method has no issue at all.

It seems like most people that hang around these parts are using the diffeomorphic plugin.

Is the cloth physics modifier still there, or did it wrongly get applied?
