I'm going  to have to practice it a bit. Doing this is a bit harder than usual but after trying, I think doing it the way Daventaki suggests would be my next step.

I tried the regular way but it insists on grabbing the skull cap too, making his hair wonky. I guess because the skullcap isn't separate?  It looked great from the side!  Until I moved the camera...lol.

You definately would have to select the braid only via geo editor, but MG is totally the best thing since sliced bread WITH fresh churned butter :) I really need to remember to use it on hair more often and get good at it like I am with poke through now. I use it all over the place, too.
