Question about the platinum club promotion

The Platinum club membership is now at 30% off
I am already a member (I should have waited a week, haha), so now I wonder what will happen if I buy it again at the reduced price. Will it add another 3 months to my membership, or will it 'override' what I already have?

I can't access the Members Only forum tho, whenever I click on it, it sends me to 'my account' page. I have been having some browser-related problems with the forums the past few days however, so I guess that could be it (Firefox won't even let me log in to the forum at all!) I sent a ticket about it, seems it is a common problem

If you go to Forum Home above, you should see it in the middle of the rest of the forums, but ONLY if you are a PC or PC+ member.

So the PC sale is same as PA sale? PC+ get an additional 20% off = 50% and PC only get 30% and can't even get 50% by purchasing 3 items as in PA sale? So technically still getting a bad rap for not switching? We both paid the same amount for subscription, why the discrimination between groups? I could see if they had to pay more for PC+, that would see extra benefits, but they didn't.
PC get 30% off new 1.99 items during the 2 day intro, this is a specific perk which we offered last year too.
We've never offered 50% off new items during a PC sale - the most you can get, as PC+, is 44% (30% plus the stacking 20%)

Correct it is stacking, my mistake, what I want to know is WHY the extra benefit is applied to PC+? Are the PC members going to get extra benefits during the sale that PC+ don't receive? It looks like both groups today receive all other sales perks the same, no discrimination between groups on anything else ....

I am PC+ but definitely agree with Kharma- this is a PC Sale, not a PC+ Perks sale. Everyone in the PC club, whether they be + or not, should have the same benefits during this sale. It has nothing to do with the PC items (where + pays more while regular PC gets them for $1.99 across the board.) So just leave THAT as is, but everything else should be equally discounted for both groups.

Why the extra benefit? because we want to reward the people who are paying the extra prices with extra discount..
PC members aren't losing anything, they are getting the same bonuses from last year for the anniversary.. hope that helps :)
ETA: If we gave Legacy members the extra stacking discount, you could then argue from the PC+ point of view of 'why are they getting stuff even cheaper?' After all, it would make the new PC releases $1.11 for legacy members.. which isn't particularly viable.
There will always be this 'grass is greener' argument until next Aug, when thankfully it will back to a single PC and we can then eliminate the X group is getting a better deal than Y arguments :)
The terms of the PC+ do say members will get an extra benefit on selected items in the day's promotions, so this is a requirement not an unexpected perk.
I am considering rejoining the PC [now PC+] after a few years hiatus, but I have a question first...
...is the PC member forum presently occupied with complaining about PC versus PC+ issues, or is it back to complaining about the more classic "this year's PC Anniversary sale is no where near as good as previous Anniversary sales"???
