Diffeomorphic auto update under Blender??

brainmuffinbrainmuffin Posts: 1,268
February 2021 in Blender Discussion

Typically when I update the Diffeomorphic add-on for Blender, I do a git pull, zip up the folder structure, and reinstall it under Blender. Is there anyway to forgo the reinstall and have Blender see the updates? Will overwriting the files where Blender puts them update the add-on properly?

I just drop the new files in place, then disable the existing and enable the new. I have about 7 there atm. I'll clear a few out on occasions, but I leave an old installed incase issues with new and I wish to revert - just switch what is enabled. I've not had any issues doing this.

I use the zip as it is straightforward, although you can copy them across manually.

You just need to make sure Studio exporter reflects the version enabled; again, I have more than one there, and move them as I need to so they are pointed to by the shortcut I use.

I'm sorry, but I do not understand what you have written.
